So I finally got to the episode where they announce the end of get anime'd... very sad. Loved it and opened my eyes to more shows I would never watch. I hope they do a few one offs here and there.

2025-12-14 20:51:06 +0000 UTCSuper bummed! A suggestion for the new show: borrowing the Newcomers format, aka chunks of episodes like Kojember or May-rio. You can focus on a franchise or genre, which can span games, movies, anime, etc. IMO having a shared piece of media you’re all harping on has always led to the best episodes of HDTGP, GP, and GA.

As a side note, I’ve loved listening to this podcast for the past few years. It’s been my favorite, only second to Get Played. It inspired me to get my first gunpla kit, a Unit 01 model that still falls apart in my hands to this day.

Unfortunately I think the choices of shows that were covered may have limited the audience. There was a poll a few months ago asking what people wanted and instead we get Elfen Lied which nobody asked for. Nonetheless I loved hearing you guys talk about it so I didn’t have to watch the whole thing.

Get Anime’d has been my parasocial link to other anime fans and the conversations around that, so like many I will really miss this show.
