Fun fact: They left in a small and fun sorta unplanned half mistake in this one which makes me smile. While they were in the ship, Matt reaches up and clasps on to something hanging from the set while he is in the middle of explaining away, like The Doctor loves to do. And it promptly comes away in his hand. Karen's little smile seems quite in keeping in response for the moment. It was a great choice leaving it in, or specifically choosing those parts of the rushes.

2025-01-21 23:35:57 +0000 UTCThis episode is great, but my favourite thing about it is the memory of the brilliantly petty 'GrahamNorton-gate' - During the original airing on BBC1, in the last few seconds of the episode during the Doctor's dramatic cliffhanger speech, half the screen was taken up with a cartoon of TV presenter Graham Norton and a banner advertising his show that was on next. (apparently it was supposed to be over the credits and played 20 secs too early) The BBC got 5000+ complaints and had to apologise. Graham himself later aired a clip of a Dalek exterminating the cartoon by way of apology.
