Scoring The iPod Series + BIG Announcement (Extended)

I asked my friend Andrew Reyes to score the iPod series, and he did an incredible job. So I paid him a visit to see exactly how he did it, from his thought process to specific plugins he used.

NOTE:  This is the Extended Edit of this video. The YouTube version is only 19 mins!

The Big Announcement is that we're releasing this soundtrack in 2 formats: digitally, exclusively on the DTG iPod that I'm giving away tomorrow, and also as the very first DTG Vinyl Record: That's right, a Limited Edition Signed Vinyl Record, only 50 records being pressed.

Preorder the DTG Vinyl: https://diggingthegreats.com/products/ipod-series-original-soundtrack-vinyl-limited-edition

If you're reading this, you are already entered to win the iPod at tomorrow's livestream!

Thank you again to Andrew Reyes for scoring this series and helping make it what it was! https://www.instagram.com/andrew_on_keys/

Really enjoyed this video. So informative watching him use his software and make great music!

Would love this!

El Clappo looks like a good plug in. Interesting to see a producer in action. It seems like a lot of effort, and expensive ai plug ins, to get a natural sound with a DAW. In general, it seems like when using music software to produce music, it's difficult to achieve a natural sound. It can easily make accurate and good sounding music, but it lacks that human feel.

Thanks for letting me be a part of this...this is a great community

I think this is more for the people that make music. I was a bit lost on this one. But still love ya BShaw!

Steve Pappalardo

That was a really cool insight into the workflow, I love the idea of simple parts "write what you can play" sounds great

So much modesty! I was a teenager in the 80s, and this music felt like HOME to me. I'm not sure how else to describe that. Like spinning a soundtrack album you've loved for decades, but this is all new music. I wondered several times where and how you found the music, but the idea that you had it professionally scored was WAY beyond anything I could have imagined. Great video series, great music, incredible result! Thanks, guys! BTW, this iPod series is how I discovered DTG. So glad it found me!

Very cool; first in a new, possible, "Producing Music", series?
