12/31 update:

Hey floofs, I hope you all had a happy Christmas/holiday time! <3

I spent time with family and did some fun seasonal activities! Switched things up with TFOL and worked in a side project prototyping a bunch of stuff we've been hoping to add for awhile: language translation, customizable controls, full touchscreen support (gestures etc) and touch friendly menus, and some core stuff to make the game run smoother especially on mobile and web. I gathered a bunch of useful dev intel and some code snippets I can use when it's time to add those features into the main game!

In other news, I'm ready to make new builds as soon as we finish some dialogue we're still tweaking. Will let you know!

My holidays were a bit of a wash this time! I was sick with some throat virus thing that apparently couldn't show up on labwork lol. But Antibiotics prevailed! I'm doing much better now.

But I've been up to a myriad of things since we've last talked. Mainly a bunch of assets for Act 4. Not enough, still many many to go haha. But this one's a marathon, not a sprint!

Some updates on this project:

My own progress has been halted. I have resin printed my master molds for silicone casting and assembly - BUT it's WINTER! I didn't realize so many things were inhibited due to temperature, and my set up is in a garage, so it's not super insulated. Not to mention, it's not ventilated. So having the garage door open gets it even colder quicker! It's been consistently 30-40 degrees colder than the ideal temperature for silicone xD SO, that's all been halted.

HOWEVER - I've been working with a company to mass produce her! It's been a good amount of back and forth, but somehow these guys managed to pull it off! This isn't the final design (The core is being reworked) - but UH. YEAH. ITS PRETTY AWESOME.

SO! I'm waiting on a second set of samples that have a few alterations before pulling the trigger. THE SPICY ASS PART IS THE MINIMUM ORDER QUANTITY IS 500. I really have no idea if we can sell 500 Mabels lmao. It's gonna be nuts, but at this point, this project is like, 99.9% a go. So much so that once the mass production is in swing, I will be opening up pre-orders.

YAAAA. As someone who's been wanting something like this for a while, I can't quite overstate how awesome this is lmao. Huge props to those manufacturers, they really wanted to make this one work out, so they had tried quite a bit to get something solid!

She IS small, but she is VERY soft, so yeah! She fits a lot lmao.

The next samples have a better looking Core/hole, will be a tiny bit harder, and will be a matte finish, and a base color closer to Mabel. We'll see how it goes!
