Kickin' it off with a word from Vixel!

2/1 weekly report

Fixed the bug causing Mabel and Dustin's date to spawn in the wrong places! (It was showing up in the lake and mountains instead of just central forest by the otter shop.) Will have the fix in the upcoming build. ^^ There are still a couple bigger bugs left to fix (Ollie won't let you ride, and a softlock when delivering Gus' ottershop package) but I know what's causing at least one of those! Should have fixes soon.

Added a bit of user interface for a new feature we'll reveal shortly! Also tested some ways to make this screen more interactive.

Brought in several new critter dates! Carrot finished a bunch of gossip/legends and dates writing, so I'll be focusing on getting the rest of those imported and scripted this week!

On my side:

As Vixel said I finished up a buncha those critter interactions. Earlier this week I combed through, polished them, and included portraits for everything, so they're good to go.

While doing that, we've needed a few new assets!

Also art-wise! Last week I was talking about a test for a slightly new workflow. I think it's pretty dang successful! It maintains a lot of the same elements that are in the usual illustration, it's a ton faster/more intuitive for me, and I think it's a subtle enough change that it totally still works.

During our call yesterday, Vixel and I noticed a few areas that could be revamped for the sake of convenience. I'm not sure entirely when, but we will be moving some stuff around in the Central Forest (lower section), doing some landscaping, and also populating each area with some unique interactibles!

This week i'll be doing some planning there, some mini-game concepting/asset making, and also working on animations. This month we'll also hold another poll for all patreons regarding the next critter-story, so keep your eyes peeled! 10$+ folks will also be getting their monthly poll soon!
