This time Vixel's gonna chat about what he's done over the past week, since it didn't get in the last Week in the Forest!
From Vixel:
Added a shop mechanic to The Musky Mustelid with coin supply and purchasable items! Now you can buy stuff! ^w^ (This is version 1, the design and item selection will expand in later builds!)
Added new art assets including:
Added new scripting for another otter shop delivery. This helped me refine our designs for spawners, conditions and triggering, because various critters aren't in their usual places during this quest. (It serves as proof of concept for characters traveling around more in Act 3.)
Added some dialogue about shearing Finley. This helped me fine tune some scripts I can use to create cutscenes directly from the Unity editor. (All of the Finley shearing cutscenes are driven by reusable controller scripts, and require no custom code. :O I can design fairly intricate cutscenes by dragging and dropping now - a huge workflow boost!)
Cleaned up and reorganized all the conversations in our dialogue database! This gets rid of clutter and standardizes how and where we'll be storing dialogue data for the rest of the game. (It's a big win because I haven't had time to clean up dialogue since the project's inception, leaving me juggling problem areas and weird buggy designs until now!)
Upgraded our dialogue loader to automate stuff for conversations that don't need advanced triggering. Now I can add dialogue for examinable objects like trees, stumps and flowers about as fast as importing the source text and art!
That 20% of leftover debugging from last week's quests rewrite unearthed tons more bugs than expected! :E I played through the game from start to finish, writing down the bugs I encountered, and fixed them one by one. (28 new bugs fixed so far! Can yall help us find more?)
Also, I think I fixed most of the bugs reported in Discord since our last build! With the codebase evolving so fast, there's sure to be more bugs -- so let me know what you find! <3

Story Content-wise, we've added the 3rd and final shop quest - and the next portion of getting the Coyotes some material to make clothes! We're coming up on the end of what we have prepared for Act 2's main campaign. We do have a lot to still flesh out in terms of side stuff, and extras. But we're making good progress =)
Next month we'll be looking at properly having the full Bunny 3-way scene! Should have Mabel's story in as well! Maybe more! But it is the holidays, so we will be taking some time off~
