This is what we've been up to this week!
Let's talk art!
First off a bit of progress on our first Legend! Keep an eye out for this illustration and story in the next build :> Just the WIP version! Colored version likely next month's build!
Got some extra assets brewin' up as well :> Including sprite animation for this lil' fish guy! You'll be able to see him and what's up with the boxes in the next build as well!
Let's talk Story!
I polished up, and portrait'd out the first Legend, and Penny's story! So they're good to go, and should be available in the next build as well :>
Let's talk Programming!
Vixel's been going absolutely ham cramming everything in and putting it all together!
We've got a majority of the next main section of Act 2 in. It's a chain quest that introduces our Legend/Story's mechanic, as well as introduces Scarlett's husband :>! OH, it also sets the stage for Maverick's shop! So it's a lot of fun things going on.
Behind the scenes coding stuff, Vixel's been revamping the Gallery menu. It was a lil' hacked together before with place holder stand-ins, but now it's robust!
Improved Chapter select behavior! This'll also be a good indicator of "what's new" in the monthly builds from here on out :>
He also redesigned how scripted cutscenes are put together, speeding up the creation and polishing of cut scenes! It's pretty dope, I'm always surprised to see how much coding is behind stuff like that O:!

2020-11-10 23:26:45 +0000 UTCIf ya mean the main quests/campaign - there are situations where Rascal isn’t involved. If you mean the Legends/Stories - none of those will involve Rascal :0

2020-11-10 23:21:33 +0000 UTCThis may have been posted somewhere and I missed it but I've realized that a lot of the stories involve Rascal in them. Are there any plans for Rascal to simply be observing the interaction between two of the other critters?
