This Month's Plan :>

ITS HAPPENIN Y'ALL! We're absolutely launching Act 1 this month! (In a couple weeks, or even sooner depending if ya guys find any game-freezing bugs lmao)

But that means our monthly build, which will be either today or tomorrow is our ACT 1 FULL STRESS TEST

This build includes a lot of tune ups and revamped interfaces and visuals. Content-wise, you can now see the full intro! It's a small little thing, but it finally gives a bit more info on how Rascal ended up in the forest in the first place :>

Anywho, We'd super appreciate everyone giving this a run and seeing if you can break anything! 

We do not have linux/mac builds ready for stress testing, so this is mainly for Windows folks again.

That's first and foremost what's planned, and we'll have more info on this very soon whenever the build is out for y'all :>

Aside from that! Assuming Act 1s legit release doesn't have any critically huge bugs, we'll be taking a bit of a break! It's good to take a step back and celebrate the successes lest we get too caught up in the grind!

Vixel will be out for a few weeks while his fam is visiting! He definitely deserves a good long break too!

I'll be keeping up with Act 2 assets! From here on, we want to make sure we're pushing forward with new content again since we've been doing a lot of cleaning up/polishing. So hopefully I'll build up a bank of assets ready for Vixel when he's back! :>

But every year, I try to use a bit of August to celebrate general artistry! I call the "festivity" Carrot Month! (Should probably come up with a better name for it...) - But it's a thing I tried 2 years ago, that absolutely changed my art career path, in LITERALLY a month. It's all about shaking it up art-wise! Learning new tools for future endeavors 'n whatever. It's really about tackling that "I should do this..." thing that I've been putting off forever. We all have em!

SO THIS YEAR, I'm gonna jump into 3D! But particularly low-poly 3D. I wanna quickly jump into the entire workflow with very limited visuals, focusing on a minimal design to be able to "make things work" without needing to spend all the extra time needed when making more highly detailed things. It'll be a crash course of 3D, but one I've been meaning to do >literally forever<. 

(Normally I'd drop my normal commitments entirely, but I absolutely wanna pump out more Act 2 assets :> So I'll be doing like, half of my time there, and half on the 3D stuff!)

I encourage other folks to do the same! It's so easy for the months to go by and some goals don't make any progress. It's very nice to just set a specific time and say, FUCK IT, I'm doing this. If you find yourself inspired and wanting to do the same, please share your progress on our Discord! I'll be doing the same :>

I'm lookin' around for a clean up artist xD! Pixel animation is such a BUTT to clean up sometimes, and it's easy to get burnt out on an animation. Once I find someone, it should vastly speed up the process :> We've also been getting the resources to be able to even consider this, entirely thanks to you guys <3!

I have a few folks in mind that I'll be running some hypotheticals by =)!

There's 3 new characters being introduced in Act 2, and 2-3 more in Act 3.

I want to get the Sprite Assets, and a brief bio of all of these characters. Then I can start reaching out to all the Collab Tier Patrons and we can start pow-wowing on a direction :> 

We're not REMOTELY ready to start production on collab-tier content yet. But I'd like to touch base and get a bit of movement.

That said, we will MOOOST likely be closing Permanent Resident access soon. We've got a lot of interest so far which is incredible! But it's also a lot of extra content for us to implement haha, so it'd be good to close it before it gets too crazy. (Folks who are in it now will be reserved a spot obviously)

Vixel and I have been experimenting with this website! It's been a good hub for tracking our tasks, on the macro and micro scale! But one of the COOLEST parts about it, is it has very shareable interfaces! 

We're still gettin' a hang of using it, but I'd like to have our Todo's available for y'all to follow along with! We don't necessarily update it every day, but it's cool to track and see! Especially our archive of finished tasks :>

I'll make a proper post introducing this later!

Great update, I know you talked some about Permanent Residence in a much earlier post but it could be good to revisit in a post. As I recall the last time you talked about (at least that I saw) you hadn't nailed down the details totally.
