Busy Month...

Sorry I haven't been around for a bit, last month we hosted the 3rd annual preggo game jam. For those who haven't seen it, you can find it here. https://itch.io/jam/preggo-game-jam-3
We had a lot of fun and there were several great submissions. I assisted fluffy in submitting a fun little project for the jam. The images above are a few guest visitors in that game.

As for seeds development, now that the jam is over I'm getting things moving again. Erron our story writer will be finishing out the story for seeds. We are sort of working out how we want the conclusion to the grand story to be. In the mean time again I will be continuing the dialogue updates for chapter 3 and 4. After some thought as well, I will look to replace the majority of the current AI art in game with artist created assets. I feel this both fits the game better as well as what the community at large wants as well.

One of other changes I am looking into is combat, both in abilities and combat pacing. I want each ability the characters have to feel unique and tailored to what they would do so expect to see some changes for the default character skills. Pacing wise I am adjusting some values around so that upgrading equipment will feel more impactful. With Otro's new weapon upgrade system in place, hopefully that will help keep certain weapons feeling unique. Also will be adding in a few more devotion themed abilities so that it hopefully wont feel like a useless stat.

Finally, I'm also making some adjustments to the world map. Most of the world will still look the same, just trimming the continents so that there isn't as much giant spaces of mountains or hills. At the same time adding in a few caves and forest dungeons that are small and let you explore the world a bit. This will allow for more areas to harvest ingredients, find crystals, and take on more unique side quests.

While this next build will finish up the story, I will likely have one more post story build that will focus on some aspects of replayability. Some examples include the arena in the amazon isles that will feature some progressively stronger enemies and the difficulty system that will be adjustable so that you can fight tougher enemies while continuing to upgrade your equipment. Outside of that perhaps some achievement awards and such, still working out plans. I may look into a new game+, will have to see how much keeping certain things will break the early game though.

I am excited to see how the new updates change the game. The new combat and dialogue changes in particular. I was just wondering if there was any plans for mid-end game replayability. Like are there any plans to add replayable dungeons and puzzles. Or potentially even some form of NG+. Obviously the game is completely stellar either way and I hope all the team has a lovely day.
