2025-05-20 22:50:40 +0000 UTCYou're opinion is valid. I personally love a lot of the stuff that AI is capable of, but trying to grapple with the ethical implications are too much for me. Hopefully there will be a future with "Legally Sourced" AI people can use, but for now I'm happy to abstain. :)

2025-05-19 09:53:53 +0000 UTCI think the AI gif was fine - not perfect, with the typical, minor AI idiosyncrasies, but they were relatively minor and you had to look very closely to find them. This one is fine too, although the movements are not quite as smooth or fluent, and obviously the animation style is closer to your style than photo realism. All the work you did on this one from scratch has already been done by others and refined millions of times by other animators for the AI to copy, so it's much more refined and off-the-shelf, ready-to-go. Honestly, I'm very grateful for either, because I'm incapable of doing either, so I appreciate everything that people with the skills that I don't have can do. Some people have an ideological opposition to AI, understandably, but all that aside, it looked good and was a step up on many other animations I've seen, Don't be too down on yourself for a three-minute job. It's pretty amazing. Look at the CGI in the original Terminator movie and you've easily got that beaten.
