Asset: Scanned Sci-fi Backpacks

Another gift from the Prospect (2018) art team! I did a gig for them a few months back, and part of the deal was that I could share any resulting assets with you all here :D A couple of these might already look familiar.

They're pretty easy to attach to an animated character if you parent them to a bone on the upper spine.

Blend File
FBX Version

Also- quick note: I get nervous uploading assets now, since sometimes I'll download the file and it's just blank! It has something to do with the blender version, and I test my uploads in a few different releases, but I still don't know exactly what causes it. Let me know if that's the case here (or if you have a possible solution?)

I Like it Hardcore Tv

Oh!! Remind me again which data? I know I wanted to upload a lot more in general, but was there something specific??

Ian Hubert

I think the file problems have to do with blender version because they appear to be 80mb files, and then when you open the they're empty.

It's a very serious profession

Thanks for these assets, Ian! Assets like these are so helpful, both immediately as assets, as well as learning more about putting together stuff like this myself. Thanks again!

Mark Miller

That's really cool! Thank you so much ♥

Thx Ian, that's really cool ! I was wondering, do you still planed to upload the hand mocap data you were talking about a few month back ? That would be really "handy" !

The backpack work in that film is fantastic, hats of to the backpack wranglers and of course the Best Backpack Boy
