She was pretty 'active' in the original, although more was implied than depicted, which isn't a bad thing. It was more open-ended, but I feel you have a specific direction for this version.

I like that this is completely premeditated for Taia this time and that she might find out about the conspiracy and fight back against it. In the original version, there seemed like there was a possibility that Jules and Damon were just opportunistic after the fact, but this time it has been set up from the start. I'm assuming we're not going to have an open-ended conclusion like the original. Taia didn't even recognise Jules, even though she remembered being married to her. I'm interested to see where this version goes, but I'm hoping it's not another 'white-picket-fence' ending. There's too many of those.
