Remember Jade?

I'm still working on getting a price sheet for pinup commissions, but here's a little look at what a simple 4K pinup of an existing character would look like. I'm thinking of charging $25 for something like this (render of an existing character in clothing of your choice with no environment), but is that a fair price?

Hmmm what story was she from again?

A lot of people seem to be concerned about Jade, so I'm currently working on shaping out her continued story :)

Great image and excellent work with the model, especially the facial expression. It's nice to know that Jade hasn't been forgotten. I would like to know if there will be a continuation of her story in the near future? The story doesn't look complete ... As for the idea, the price looks fair. It might be worth considering a discount for patreon members. And thanks for sharing this example of your work.

Good point! Thanks for sharing 😊

Very good points 😊

Good advice 😊

I’ve invested enough that most 4K pinups take under an hour, and it does make the rig unusable as it’s running so I definitely take that into consideration πŸ™‚

TGTrinity

Good to know πŸ˜„

Patrons would totally have a discount, and right now I’m looking at 20% off.

As above, there should never be a question whether $25.00 is a fair price or not. The only question should be "Is $25.00 a fair payment for the time I spent creating a unique piece of 3D artwork?" I know how difficult it is to stay away from 13-in-a-dozen stock poses and expression, or even creating your own signature poses and expressions, so you just ask what you feel represents a correct amount. I am fairly sure that anyone appreciative of the work you put in, will not try to haggle or comment on too high a price for a unique Render-on-Demand.

I agree, $25 seems a fair price, perhaps even a bit low. I don't think the burden on your computer is a good way to think about pricing. The far higher cost to you is the creative effort you put into it (even though one hopes that is fun). While it is true that $25 might be a bit steep for many of your fans, they can subscribe to your feed, and even pick up much of your art free on DeviantArt.

She seems.. *vaguely* familiar to me. But, yeah, I think $25.00 is a fair price. Charge what you think you're worth. If people like your work, then they'll happily meet your price. Take it from me, you'll always get hagglers who will want what you offer for next to nothing, if not for free.

How much time does your computer take to do a high quality render? Can it do anything else in the meantime? That might be a good place to work from for determining how much to charge.

Of course I'm interested! would love to see a render of Taia from Foxy.

I hate to even discuss pricing for artwork of any kind but since you asked I would say that might be a bit high for existing patrons. I would need more information to hazard what I would consider a fair price to be.

Nice! I'd still like to see the continuing adventures of Jade, someday.
