Version 0.1.08 is now live on the public branch on Steam! This branch brings in a number of new systems into the game including footstep audio, a new monster, and premade buildings to conquer and gain control of.

These towers are generated using the world-wide encounter manager meaning they exist prior to your actually visiting their location. This lets them be seen from very far away as in the picture above. If you look close there are five distant towers in this picture, the most obvious being on the horizon just above and to the right of the player. Inside each tower are multiple floors of guardians, complete with the first "hero" class mob on the top floor. Normal mobs have a 1 in 20 chance to become a champion, whereas the fire elemental at the top of each tower is always a hero, meaning it hits harder and is a lot tougher.
After clearing a tower completely the treasure chest guarded by the fire elemental opens up with an assortment of "rare" rarity loot inside. Also, ownership over the tower is rewarded to the player. This lets you place a solace inside, deconstruct, and add to the tower as you see fit. This is possible because the tower was built using the in-game building system and simply fed into the encounter management system.

Now that the system works (still some minor bugs being worked out) we can add NPC towns, abandoned buildings, and more for players to "take over," be rewarded, or destroy!
Version 0.1.08 also brought in many fixes to enchanting, and the game in general, as well as:
- An active buff overlay to show affects currently active on the player.
- Footstep audio
- An in-game console for command input, error notifications, and bug reporting
- 3 new set enchants

- Fixed a bug where deleting the solace currently marked as home would send you to world zero. It will now reset your home solace to the broken solace in such cases and send you there.

- Fixed the BuffUI bug hanging the timers and throwing errors
- Disabled the ability to drag and drop with any button other than the left mouse button. Sometimes right-clicking to transfer a lot of items would trigger a drag as you moved the mouse around.
