The corruption switch seems to just switch on at a certain point in the last few editions of TACOS, and the protagonists go from 'the-door-peeking-open' to 'crashing-through-the-wall' in one or two frames. I liked the slower, more gradual descent into utter depravity from the earlier TACOS stories, where there was a smoother, more gradual erosion of morality as changes progressed. I do love a longer, slower transformation though, so maybe it's just my bias.
