Hello, my fellow Fetish lovers!
One and a half years ago, I had an idea for a game and started developing the story. A year ago, we started making characters and locations. Half a year ago we started making renders and now we are almost ready to show this game to you!
Yes, we are making a new game - Vinovella University! It’s a game that we are developing parallel to FL. It will have its own Patreon page. We already have new team members that are only working on this new game. And when it grows big enough, we will build another team around this new project!
VU - Vinovella University is a new game that our team is making and also a university in the same city where Fetish Locator events are taking place. This is the University that Daisy, Dahlia, Allison, and Samiya are attending in the Fetish Locator story, but takes place before the events of FL.
We actually have been working on VU for quite a long time, but mostly in our spare time from Fetish Locator development. We started writing ideas for a next-level story project in 2020 and now we are ready to form a core team around it and deliver the first part to you!
Fetish Locator development will not be affected. Team members who are mostly involved in VU aren’t working on FL. We have essentially started a second division in our team just for VU. And with its success, that division will grow.
VU is a different project that we’re developing parallel to FL. The FL division will continue making content with FL’s characters after Week-3. Fetish Locator and Vinovella University are two different IPs that we are going to develop and neither will be abandoned.
VU is going to be developed by a separate division and we will grow it according to your support. You, as a player, have a choice to support one of our stories’ development or both of them. You can also get both games from one of the Patreon pages, just by getting a higher tier.
No. The VU story isn’t connected to Fetish Locator. Although it takes place before the events of FL, you will only find very small crossovers with some characters.
When I (Vi) started Fetish Locator, it was an experiment that grew into a game and my full-time job and a full-time job for many other people. Still, the beginning of the story was amateur. VU has a very deep and complex story. We spent many months developing characters and locations before we made a single render for the game. We truly hope that this game will be the next big thing and we worked hard to make this happen.
There is no way we’ll do this to FL. No matter how big VU gets, we’ll keep working on FL to finish Week-3 and even after that. First of all, our team members that are working on Fetish Locator are still going to be working on it. Right now the VU division is very small and we are going to grow it if we are going to get enough support on Patreon. Neither game will be forgotten in the shadow of the other’s success.
We have a great process that we established for Fetish Locator. But we’ll have a different process for VU. We’ll deliver bigger portions and be better prepared. For example, all sound effects will be included in the game for release. Our team is already benefiting from developing two games simultaneously. There are many team roles that can switch between projects when needed. For example, when we are making an FL release, we already usually have all the animations ready, but can’t start the next release (because animations are in the middle of the scene, and they need time to prepare). It is a great time to switch and work on making animations for another project until the next release would be ready for animations.
No. Fetish Locator Week Three is an end of a trilogy but isn't an end of Fetish Locator IP. We already know what we will be working on after the end of week-3 and you learn what it is once you see the end of week-3!
Tomorrow I will make a huge post to tell you about our team and all the great people who are working on FL and VU.
Mark 20th of March in your calendar - that is when the Patreon page will be published and we will post a first game trailer!
