I've attended Flame Con 2019 in New York.
So how was the Show for me?
To be honest and blunt about it.
It was not worth it for me.
I've applied for a Publisher Table at Flame Con 2019, because I couldn't get a Normal Table via the lottery system they setup for this year. It cost $1000 usd for the Publisher Table. Yes, very expensive! And I was too naive to believe that I could attract enough new customers to cover it.
In fact, I've gained zero new customers. Yes, I am just as surprised as you are. I didn't even wanted to accept this fact until now.
Zero new customers. I've always expect for the worst, but never this.
I guess this is it. I am Officially Cursed. This trip to New York used up most of my financial reserves. I was hoping to lower the price after sales increase. but it all turned into a major bad investment.
Thank you so much to the over a hundred long time supporters of my works!
I've been creating Hercules comics for ten years now, it's you guys keeping this ongoing crazy Hercules comic alive.

I know all the energy, the hopes, the personal and financial investment that such a moment requires. But I also know how unique your work is, how powerful, strong, and tender it is. I know all the love you put into your work, and which makes it so unique... Do not lose hope, the road is long, often disappointing, but when you arrive you will find, I am sure, all the fruits of the seeds you plant. And then there are us, you know it... in the shadow of the net, not under the spotlight of events (which may not be so "luminous" as they claim... I went there and I too was very disappointed, by the lack of real originality) Continue to believe in it, dear Mauleo, continue with all your strength, your heart..for you, for us, for Hercules and Lucien <3 Thank you so much for your inspiring work. if the flame con participants missed you, certainly not me! <3 <3 <3
