En's Weekly Thoughts:

I'm going to be away next week to go on a much needed vacation. (I'll still be scheduling an audio for next week so don't worry about missing anything!) Work has been the same and I'm actually making decent progress on all of my creative projects, but I just feel like I need to step away from everything for more than a day to clear my head. And so this couldn't have come at a better time.

I think like 95 percent of the people here do not watch my streams or know what I'm like outside of this Patreon stuff, so if I were to give you guys some insight into what it's like to be a streamer with the intent of building a community, I would say that you unfortunately have to deal with a lot of childish bullshit from incredibly fake people who care more about projecting a certain image rather than actually embodying what they claim to believe in. People know me as someone who's very outspoken about what he believes in, and with that comes a lot of people around you who you realize only really want to keep you there for the purposes of treating you like a token rather than actually advocating for anything themselves. This is really all to say that there are so many people in any kind of content creation space who are so vapid and empty when you actually get to know them, and I don't even necessarily mean that as an insult: they're young and still figuring themselves out. But because they're constantly seeking engagement and more likes and more views instead of making connections with people, you find that they essentially don't believe in a goddamn thing.

There's a certain big content creator who people keep mentioning in the same breath as they mention me because there's a perception that we're both very outspoken about our views. But I never really liked this guy because he seems to only ever mention shit for the sake of attracting more attention to himself, and when you actually talk to him about particulars you realize he knows fucking nothing or even believes in stuff that's quite harmful. And I can't imagine living such a boring life where you just masquerade as someone who pretends to know things instead of actually taking the time to better yourself.

I'm sorry -- this rant is just all over the place. I'm loopy on cough medicine and I need to get back to work. All I'm saying is to please get off social media and read a book and connect with friends and reach out to those in need, as much as you can. Thank you for reading.
