ya hes shown interest in studying magic to an obsessive degree, he said himself "cant get lost in self absorption, i gotta help the kid as much as possible." he seems to b in a constant back and forth for lust and love of magic. give him his own body and most of his power back and hell say goddess can wait, "mayb i can find a way to feel and dick around again too."

2023-02-04 09:58:03 +0000 UTCeven if he kept his lvl he was at around 40 if i remember right, i think tyron would have a long to go b4 giving him full lich capability and retain 100% of his power would likely depend on tyrons power and how close he is to doves lvl. so although i wish for #1 i think it should b a bunch of chapters from now when hes actually ready in lvls, skills/spells and experience to make many lichs if he had many mages bodies and souls.

2023-02-04 09:50:36 +0000 UTC#1 for me #5 after that, his summoner abilities always seemed past and present the 2nd most important thing to him. after all he looked at yor anew seeing a glimpse of the knowledge hed like to study, for that moment, lust wasnt on his mind which i think has only happened for around 2 or 3 other moments in the entire story, he almost lost himself to that feeling when he wants to help tyron as much possible. he might like having that life helping tyron for a little while longer. ofc not likely for eternity beyond 100 yrs, hell also have the choice to end himself any moment he feels like it since hell have 99% autonomy.

2022-10-08 16:29:51 +0000 UTCI like the idea of dove dying, it adds some personal weight to a grim series and give some character growth opportunity for Tyrone. I like Dove but he kind of has one thing. If you’re going to off a character it’s better to do it when the readers care.

Him being weaker than Tyron is a given, but I think people just like him both as a character and a person, and having him be depressed and unable to do anything is depressing. I'd love for him to get some independence but still stay and help Tyron.

2022-10-08 04:00:24 +0000 UTCYeah, right now Dove wants to die cuz he doesn't see a way forward. If Tyron offered him a way to be able to grow stronger, Dove would jump on it immediately. He's 100% addicted to the rush, he showed it multiple times. Also, I think Tyron would find a few neat projects using mind magic to help Dove - like recreating his sense of touch, smell, and taste - all of these are just sensations of the mind, and with mind magic, Tyron would be able to either create a spell Dove can cast himself, or enchant something for Dove with the same function. It would also be valuable practice with mind magic for Tyron, something he very much needs.

This story is about Ty becoming a badass necromancer against all odds, and having Dove, who is more capable and experienced Slayer, would take away the narrative tension of that plotline. No, plucky foul-mouthed sidekick/consigliere is just perfect for him.

2022-10-07 16:30:59 +0000 UTCStories benefit a lot from the protagonist having someone to talk to. It seems like dove should stick around for that reason if nothing else. He's been more fun/relevant than yor so far, so if he dies it seems like the story would badly want a replacement for dove.
