Sadly, Chosen One is a passive skill. Also some people (like Yuuki) are not affected. Chosen One, though powerful, is still a Skill, and thus some people can resist. Masayuki feels like his Skill is controlling him, and he feels like a fraud.

2024-08-05 19:26:05 +0000 UTCIt's hard to understand Yuuki's plan, because Episode 11, where Yuuki talks about this, is pretty vague. I tried to figure out whether this was intentional on the animators' part, or just another case of the animators overestimating the ability of anime-only viewers to get enough information from the dialogue in the anime. The hints are so vague as to be nonexistent for most people (as I have observed). The dialogue in the LN is only a little longer but it makes certain things very clear. This is one of those times where I can't decide if something is a spoiler or not.

2024-08-05 19:20:45 +0000 UTCIt took me a while to realize, but Masayuki's voice actor is the same as Kirito in SAO, and that's hilarious because they're both stupidly OP. The variable that's bothering me in all of this is Yuuki, because his plan seems to be all over the place. We saw him talk about slave trading with the merchant from the East, if memory serves right, and suddenly he tasks a Hero with getting rid of the slave trade.
