Frieren mentioned a few episodes ago that elves generally don’t have romantic feelings or reproductive instincts. So, the lack of any urgency between her and Kraft ,and her confused feelings for Himmel, make sense. It also makes what happened to her village more tragic, since villages like that are/were probably the only places where marriage and family are common among elves.

Since requirements are vastly different for each rank, it's easier to divide them with specific tests that are made for the rank you wish to achieve.
