The journal episodes are just recap episodes anyways. If you really want the authentic experience you do 12 episodes of slime diaries then recap.

2023-11-17 03:22:21 +0000 UTCPersonally i never really watched too many of the side episodes especially the recap ones since its only a perspective shift to Veldora, which is interesting in a way but def not mandatory knowledge. Personally I think its best to just watch it later as a buffer to wait for more content, plus its not like the knowledge from it is going to effect enjoyment for the rest of season 2 (I mean I enjoyed all of it just fine without anyway, also recaps are kinda boring by nature).
