2025-08-24 19:11:03 +0000 UTCThis story is...frustrating seems like too strong of a word but I struggle to accurately describe it. To be clear, I really, REALLY enjoy your stories. I love how you have a clear understanding of characters and the worlds your stories take place in. I've read almost all of your GoT and Harry Potter pics and have enjoyed every one for different reasons. But this story in particular bothers me in a way that I struggle to define but I'll do my best : I feel browbeaten by the idea that vengeance is consuming our main character. For roughly 60ish chapters you've presented the character as someone fueled by the need for revenge for the death of his daughter by Oberyn's hand. He desires the death of Martells and the essential genocide of a country for a past that no longer exists, since obviously things have changed dramatically due to reincarnation. To be clear this in and of itself is a compelling character trait. Does the character let it consume him until nothing is left? Does he come back from thr brink and find himself again? It makes for...well compelling reading. But it's taken us so long to get any sort of development beyond straight vengeance. We are 70 chapters in and just now is the main character showing growth. This leads me to believe that any hope of getting answers to the questions your readers have might take another 70 chapters before we get them. It's the same problem I have with the author of the source material, George RR Martin. He just takes so fucking long to get to where we have any answers to burning questions about the characters we have fallen in love with, and hated. And I fear that this story is falling into the same trap. Several chapters ago you said you noticed a significant drop off of viewership for this story, and while I certainly dont speak for any of your other readers and fans, for me I want to drop this story and come back in a year or two when it might be completed so I can get the answers I seek. I'm not asking you to change anything about this story or any upcoming chapters. I do enjoy the story and you are the author. It's clear to see your passion in your writing and how much you enjoy sharing it with others, but I think I will stick to reading your other stories and wait this one out until later when I can read it in it's entirety. Thank you, and cheers, I hope you continue writing the stories you enjoy telling. I will definitely read them.
