Then they are idiots. They risk a civil war in Dorne because they decided to murder a beloved member of one of the strongest houses in Dorne, while also giving House Yronwood a potential ally in achieving a long sought goal: removing House Martel

Gabe Sarti

I will say this though, if the Martels decided to have Ashara murdered, then they are stupid for potentially pissing off one of the strongest houses in all of Dorne.

She will apologise, and it will be in the next chapter. Sorry for late reply. I was sleeping when you commented.

Drinor

Glad Shiera showed up to talk some sense into Rhaenys. Here's hoping Rhaenys actually listened Remind me, did Sansa ever go apologize to Jon?

Longclaw16

Makes sense, it would be better for Rhaenys if she discovered the truth on her own rather then having it told to her by someone she doesn't fully trust. can't wait for that moment and the breakdown she will probably have.

John M Pogue

Don't worry; someone will be there to protect precious Daenerys. Arthur's fate will be revealed later, and who targeted Ashara will also be revealed later.

Drinor

Very Good Theory and Ashara was targeted by someone from House Martell, but who pushed her is someone else. From what I have written, Oberyn and Doran are indeed making sure Rhaenys is vengeful towards all her enemies, to the point of madness in some cases, but they never thought someone like Shiera would tell Rhaenys to look beyond the picture. But Shiera is not going just straight up to tell her; this is something Rhanenys should find out on her own. Otherwise, she would not trust Shiera or anyone's word.

Drinor

Ashara was targeted by House Martell. Who pushed her and who made the order will be revealed later. But that reveal will break Rhaenys's trust in some of her family.

Drinor

Another commenter had a great idea as to why Ashara was targeted, can’t wait for it to be revealed in the story

TheWateringWizard

Ashara wasn't targeted because she loved Ned, but the reason she was targeted will be revealed later. I loved writing Jon's dream with Dany.

Drinor

Ohhh hadn’t thought about that for Ashara’s death. Would make a lot of sense. Can’t have Ashara tell Rhae what her mother thought of Lyanna, what really happened with Rhaegar and everything… I always enjoy stories where the Dornish are antagonists

TheWateringWizard

I fucking loved it !! Can’t wait to see what Rhaenys finds out about what happened during the rebellion and what happened in Dorne, it’s going to be an awesome arc. I’m sure Doran killed Ashara or got her killed but I can’t see why… is it simply because she loved Ned ? Jon’s dream with Dany was soooo sweet ! Loved it Can’t wait for more with this story

TheWateringWizard

Doran murdered Ashara damn who would’ve guessed.

Daeron Targaryen

Looks like Shiera has started to break down the walls Rhaenys put around herself, hope the clue she gave her about finding the truth about Ashara will finally open her mind. I have a theory as to what happened, Ashara knew Rhae survived and she wanted to be a part of her life, telling her about her mother and what happened between her, Rhaegar, and Lyanna. Fearing this would not align with their plans, the Martells, or someone paid by them, killed Ashara to cover up the truth and ensure they could mold Rhaenys into the person they wanted her to be, angry and vengeful at the son of the people who the Martells view as having caused Elia and Aegons death. I like how, after learning what Jon did, the soldiers and guards of Winterfell are starting to look upon Jon in a new light.

John M Pogue

So is Arthur Dayne dead, or is he still alive in this story? If he is alive, Oberyn will never survive if it turns out that the Martels had his beloved sister murdered. Also glad to see a small kind hearted Daenerys. You really make me want to protect her from the events that will come.
