He spent his life until the rebellion chasing after prophecies, and then he realized that he had been wrong. All that chasing after prophecies had been for nothing, at least from his perspective. He feels bad for failing Elia and their children, so he makes sure to please everyone to make sure no rebellion happens when Aegon is King. Well, let's hope it gets the most votes in the next poll so that I will write Chapter 2.

2024-09-17 05:40:06 +0000 UTCWe absolutely need a part 2. So much left unsaid or unexplored and not just Daeron and Rhae’s relationship or Jon/Rhae/Elia. Fuck the Tullys and fuck Rhaegar. While he might be good for the Realm (seems like it at least), he definitely fucked up big time with Rhaenys and Daeron. It’s honestly insulting and an incredibly weak move to REWARD the Tullys with a betrothal to Rhaenys. Those grasping pricks deserved nothing more than to be stripped of the Paramount title after their actions in the rebellion. They rebelled because they thought they could gain a lot more politically. They chose wrong but still got a reward? Fuck Rhaegar. The worst is that the rest of the Riverlands probably don’t give a shit about the Tullys and might have been pissed that despite rebelling for no reason, they got a royal bride out of it. Rhaegar didn’t even do anything for the North despite them being the ones who lost the most. Also, appeasing the Faith is always the WEAKEST move… Glad Rhae and Daeron didn’t let any man or god stop them. I’m happy the Blackfish suspects that Melinda isn’t Edmure’s. Now this big rant wasn’t directed at you author but at the Tullys and especially at Rhaegar. Loved the story, thank you for sharing it. Really hope we can get a chapter 2 and more for this story. (And maybe we can see the other ideas come back in an other poll?)
