Teaser of A Prince of House Targaryen Chapter 39

Chapter 39 (An Old Dragon is A Fierce One)

Jon walked through the large field of tents, the sound of soldiers and servants arranging things was bombarding his ears, and it seemed Ghost, Kessa was finding this just as annoying as him. He knew Val probably wouldn't be happy that he didn't tell her, but he needed to be alone right now. He couldn't look at him right now, his words still ringing in his ears like bells.

"I Know what I Did can't be forgiven, but I just want you to know that whatever happens to me is not your fault. I just hope you will find in your heart to not punish my family, they're not guilty of this, none of them,"

A Scowl escaped Jon as he narrowed his eyes at his uncle. "None of them? not even your Wife," Jon questioned, his mouth almost spitting venom like a snake.

Jon wanted to release a furious cry of anger; he was the one responsible, he took him away from his family, from his siblings, from his home, from my sister, but then he remembered Arya, a girl full of energy, a smile that could make everyone smile back, his little sister, he knew if the law was followed Lord Eddard Stark would be executed for treason, but that would have meant Arya would be left without a father, she was only nine name days, Bran was seven name days, and Rickon was only three.

Would it be horrible for me to want justice for myself? Jon questioned himself; he soon found a dummy, a perfect place to express his anger.

Hitting and hitting, soon the dummy was reduced to only a few limbs hanging here and there; he was about to hit another one...

"That dummy is not a good enough opponent for you," A voice spoke behind Jon, making him turn around. His eyes recognized the golden hair and green eyes of House Lannister and his fancy clothes.

"My Lord!" Jon said respectfully, bowing his head a little; the man chuckled in amusement.

"No need for that kid, what's your name?" The one who Jon knew was Jaime Lannister asked.

"Jon Snow, my lord," Jon replied, keeping his eyes down, knowing a lord might find it offensive from someone of his status to look him directly in the eyes.

"How about a spar, Jon Snow. I saw the way you moved, quiet percisly," Jaime complimented with a smile.

Jon smiled back before nodding his head, his heart beating in his throat; he could fight with a legendary swordsman like him, and soon they started exchanging blows.

None of them noticed Rhaella Targaryen looking at them from a distance, her eyes glued on Jon Snow; her eyes narrowed slightly; beside her was Ser Barristan Selmy.

"Barristan, let's get a bit closer. I'm sure Lord Jaime won't mind a small audionce."
