Now available as an early access video to Patreon donors! Watch on TROM here:

(I would just embed it here, but Patreon doesn't work with non-youtube, non-vimeo links (: )

Some conflicting thoughts I had about being a topless equality anti-gender-specific censorship activist (aka #freethenipple) vs a parent who doesn’t want someone snapping topless pictures and video of my assigned-male-at-birth yet constantly-misgendered-as-female because of their long hair to post online, and maybe even use AI to generate images of them in sexually explicit scenarios (: (: (: What a fucking horrible timeline we’ve found ourselves living in.

I want to follow up on your comments starting at 4:55 in this video where you observe that there are no websites that forbid full nudity but permit anyone of either/all genders to be topless. Essentially you have observed that female nipples are not permitted except in the context of porn. I wonder where classical art fits into all of this and, if a different standard applies or applied to classical art, why it would be different. Earlier this month I had the opportunity to visit the Sistine Chapel--which I highly recommend although it will be closed for a short while starting Monday. As you probably know, Michelangelo's Last Judgement takes up most of one entire wall of the chapel. Originally The Last Judgement included figures who were completely nude. However at some point the authorities took great offense at all the heinous genitalia and ordered it painted over with various loin cloths. However what is interesting is that although genitalia of both sexes are now covered up, they did NOT paint over the heinous female nipples, some of which still remain. So that actually gives you a classical example of what you are looking for: a situation in which genitalia, of either sex, is not permitted but both men and women can go topless. There are no doubt other classical works of art that are similar in this regard--I'm just focused on The Last Judgement since I visited it recently. I wonder what changed between then and modern times, because I understand that ambivalence about female breasts is not a new phenomenon but has been a facet of our culture for centuries.
