Looking for feedback from nudists for a video, esp non -straight white cis male nudists!
Added 2025-02-05 22:28:37 +0000 UTCI'm doing research for a video idea called "the 'isms of nudism," that will focus on the various economical, racial, ableist, anti-lgbtq, and other such barriers that many of the nonwhite, noncis, nonmale would-be participants of #nudism / #naturism often run into, and I could use your help conducting research into it--
If you're a #nudist / #naturist (or a nonsexual nudity supporter who doesn't necessarily identify with either label) who is outside of the middle class, straight, white, cis male main demographic, I want to hear from you! (Or if you are a MC/S/W/C/M, maybe you have some insight you've heard from others that aren't in all those categories about what they've experienced in practicing nudism)!
This won't be a hit piece against middle class, straight, white, cis, male nudists, I promise (even though I do get irritated at how often these gentlemen jump from my fight for topless equality to "let's normalize full body nudity!)-
The intent of the video, rather, is to maybe open some eyes to the many barriers to #nudism / #naturism that those not affected by such barriers may be unaware of.
I'm also interested in cataloging stats and articles about #nudism / #naturism that reference racism, economic barriers, anti-lgbtq sentiments, etc, so if you know of any, please share them!

Given that some of the free places for social engagement attract a lot of voyeuristic attention, paid locations are gonna be a bit more comfortable, though the cost of travel and entry can be a bit much when you’re on a tighter budget. These places are often just so white—that too is a bit of a barrier for me sometimes, feeling more conspicuous with my darker skin. Given our pandemic status (and impending pandemic), masking is going to be important. Some of the places closest to me focus on water and that pushes for more proximity and given our local culture on masking, it can be ableist if precautions aren’t being taken.
