When Progressives Attack: Leftists Eat Their Own (Topless Topics Political Rant)
Added 2022-10-12 20:01:23 +0000 UTCThought I'd clip out this rant I made during yesterday's behind-the-scenes livestream over at joystick.tv/u/toplesstopics where I railed (yet again) about actual #cancelculture aka when leftist attack dogs "kick out" an ally over 5% problematic behavior, despite 95% true allyship.
I'll probably get "canceled" over this, but honestly, it's gonna happen one of these days anyway, might as well rip the band-aid off. For the record, I am a devout leftist--from abortion rights and other feminist causes, to lgbtq+/queer rights, sex worker advocacy, homelessness advocacy, climate change, mental health, pro-science legislation, etc etc etc, I am 100% progressive and left. Where I differ with a lot of my Twitter followers (and, before Yahoo killed it, Tumblr) is that I think that 95% allyship still matters, before the attack dogs go on a crusade of Righteous Indignation(tm) to drive that person out.
And if y'all drive me out, despite the endless efforts I have and continue to put into fighting for progressive politics, whelp, you're just proving my point ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
