Cartwright and Tenner - Case 1 - Introduction (2/2)

And here is the final part of the introduction! The case is in your hands. How shall we begin~?

Cartwright and Tenner is a choose your own adventure mystery horror comic in which you the audience can suggest actions for the main characters to partake as they investigate their cases.

To suggest an action, all you need to do is comment on the patreon post about what they should do! Feel free to be as detailed as you want! If you make a long post, try to provide a summary in a similar vein to something like this:

Feel free to comment , suggest actions and speculate, I am very intrigued to see how this will be received!

The idea is that I will be trying to do updates to this comic once every two-three weeks, patrons getting access to the comic  a week early to the public. I will be making roughly 10-15 panels per update to avoid overwhelming my work load unlike the 50 panel monster this intro is, haha.

Also to note, I am considering throwing in patron cameos as this series hopefully continues, such as witnesses, clients, etc! These appearances won't be controllable by patrons, but will be characters in the story for you all interact with. With permission given, the patron appearance and aesthetics will be adapted into the appropriate look for the setting of the comic.

I hope people enjoy the ride, Cartwright and Tenner's fates are in your hands.

INVESTIGATE: the apartment, the hole can come after but check too see anything important about the area. Dishes and used food, this hole seems man made so maybe some kind of drug is the cause? TALK: Ask Branson about Bo's recent exploits. Anything notable? School not going great, trying a new gym etc?

Oh wow, this is so impressive! The art is just sublime, each panel is so full of passion and soul. I just love the perspectives used and the twist of Tenner being supernatural... I think I should've realized but it got me surprised hahaha. Investigate - Examine the view from the wrecking ball sized hole in the wall. Try to establish if our assailant used this to break out, or in. Take a quick glance at Bo's room, and check if you can find any bloodstains around the apartment before questioning any neighbors.

TALK: to Branson and ask about Bo, how he looks like, how is he like, any strange behaviour in the last days, anything odd he did; ask about his relationship with him, his friends, his teachers. INVESTIGATE: the scratches on the furniture and the walls, and the damage near the door. INVESTIGATE: the big hole on the wall

Lyserg Ludenberg

Yeah agreed! All we have is the '26 minutes ago', a rundown of events would be really useful

Robert Smith

I'll put all my various thoughts here as I think of them lol XD This is room 4, so presumably there are at least 3 others- all student accommodation? Lights are on in the next door block, but that I guess means less, because student things tend to be on all night in public areas- but likely there are other occupants The inhabitant of 3 seems tetchy based on that note on the corkboard- but that means they probably have strong OPINIONS- might be useful to talk to them as a priority. Also, clothes going missing might be a prelude to what happened tonight Interesting that Tenner can be heard over the phone, but not in person by Branson - as he was the one who answered the call. Unless of course Branson is pretending not to hear him for some reason. Also, is that blood on the lamppost outside? Hard to tell in the dark, but might be useful to figuring out a path of where whatever did this went next.

Robert Smith

Agreed- it is worth knowing where... whatever caused that... came from, and where it went

Robert Smith

Hmmm... a hole in the wall should cause a lot of noise, especially if it is this quiet. So why has no one else called the police? Is no one else in? Or is it a case that they couldn't hear it. I think my main suggestion would be- TALK to Branson - Who else lives in this block, and why is no one panicking?

Robert Smith

I think we need to get a better idea of the timeframe of when the crime occurred. Talk to Brandon about when it happened and where he was. Also when the last time he saw Bo was

Monu

Branson is cute~ Oh hey! I remember you doing that background on page 9! Great stuff Glaz!

Interrogate works, it doesnt have to mean PRESS X TO DOUBT aggressive interrogating afterall haha

Glaz

Is interrogate the right word? I wanna ask questions about why the entrance area seems untouched while the main common area is so *fucked*

Caz

Not sure if we have multiple actions but will pose them anyway. 1. Cartwright: (Inspect) the huge hole in the wall first and speculate what could had caused it. 2. Cartwright: (Talk) to Branson about details, did he see anything else like the Culprit or what was Bo doing before the break-in.

Rycanrok

I want to check that big ol hole out and investigate it to see what made it and from what side of the wall it was made on. Afterwards investigating what is behind the open doorway, it looks like it's door was throw off from inside so the fight may have started there.

DLTome

Investigate any dishes, bottles, anything that might have been consumed or drank. This could have been caused by something that was ingested. I suggest asking what happened leading up to the hole in the wall

WorgenRouge

I have two suggestions if able! To pick up the picture on the ground and see what it is, bc it looks as tho it was punched down mayhaps? And secondly to investigate those scratch marks on the wall close to the ground
