what chapter 10 did u enjoy more?
Added 2024-07-20 06:35:31 +0000 UTCTHANKYOU AGAIN AAAA MY BETA READERS!! writing a comic is so hard HNNG this is VERSION A and this is VERSION B
Comments
B just flows better for me. The conversation feels more linear rather than A where it makes it more a moment rather than Kageyama advising his son to live in the moment and be his authentic self. I feel like that for Kageyama, his life lesson is to not extinguish who you are but to embrace it, and when the right people come along, you’ll realize your worth to them but more importantly to yourself. I think B conveys this better. Long winded explanation on my part lol

2024-07-24 01:35:51 +0000 UTCB kind of reads like Tobio had foreknowledge of how his life would play out, so the message in A felt more attuned to his actual life experience. He didn’t know what kind of team he’d be part of at Karasuno, didn’t know he’d be given the space to be himself, but because it was the right team and the right time, he was supported enough to grow into the player and man he is. Like, he didn’t really choose the path he ended up on so much as he chose to walk it once he found himself there.

2024-07-22 01:45:32 +0000 UTCahh the choice is so difficult bc i really love the parallel of present tobio to younger tobio shown in A but i think his advice is a bit more coherent and flows better in B? i do know i prefer the last page from B more tho!

2024-07-20 20:57:58 +0000 UTCPersonally I prefer the layout of ver A but the writing for ver B does seem more coherent especially for the "right position, right timing part". And ver A hit me more from page 1 to page 2 when Kageyama says there isn't always the right answer but only the right people etc. While for ver B it didn't give the same feeling as the "right position, right timing" speech is only given on page 3?

2024-07-20 20:00:47 +0000 UTCI think the difference between the two versions is the plurality in meaning, one listening and other saying something, it's never going to be interpreted in the same way even when the words are exactly the same, because we are different people, with different lives and different point of views over the same things So I think Tobio said the A or the B (the option you like the most) and Kaien understood A or B (the option you like the most) I just think it's beautiful to see it that way :3

2024-07-20 19:27:40 +0000 UTCI really liked the changes! Version A was so amazing but maybe it’s just my personal trouble with interpretation, but I did read it over like 5 times before I fully understood what Tobio was trying to convey. So for me Version B seemed much more straight forward so I understood what he was trying to convey without losing any of the emotional backstory. Plus it accentuates a bit of Kageyamas bluntness 😂, saying these profound words in a seemingly simple format, but of course those closest to him can easily find their real meaning🤭 The one part of Version A which I think I preferred was in the second to last panel Kaien asks “so you put your wall down and you knew who to be because papa made you feel safe.” That sentence really hit me in the feels, it’s such a perfect description of Kagehinas realationship, and it applies so much to Kaien 😏

2024-07-20 15:02:23 +0000 UTCI do like that A was more cutely said, but B makes the convo flow more, for Tobio's reply

2024-07-20 11:54:36 +0000 UTCNot sure if enjoyed is the word, but A hit me harder and B made me happier, if that's helpful (?)

2024-07-20 10:44:35 +0000 UTCI voted for B because I felt it was better (although I couldn't explain why), but at the same time, there are some parts I love in A... I'm not helping, I know xD

2024-07-20 07:47:29 +0000 UTCB to me feels so much more fluid, and Kageyama's advice feels more genuine, like he's really thinking back and trying to help Kaien out I feel. Even tho A almost has the same content, it does in some ways feel like a stiffer conversation and somewhat more scripted. I really jumped between them reading and absorbing each of them carefully, and thats what really stood out to me about each of them, and why I prefer B I think. GOOD LUCK WRITING ALLY💖

2024-07-20 07:16:42 +0000 UTCMaybe I’m just tired, but the way the conversation flows in B makes no sense to me. I much prefer A!

2024-07-20 07:06:28 +0000 UTCReally, I enjoy both! Personally, version A seemed more profound in the way that tobio reminisced about his own past /first/ before getting into the /now/ but I like some of the wording from version B better like it connected more but only for a reader's speed rather than version A where Kaien had more of a childish understanding. (which I actually do love, it was just a little confusing to me) so both are good in their own ways 🥰

2024-07-20 06:56:27 +0000 UTCAHHHH i like both😭😭😭 i think i like B more in terms of how the panels were structured, and his explanation made more sense (like being w the right people, right time, that part) but i love how the second half of it flows in part A. i also like kaiens reaction a bit better there, his “i want it NOW!!” really shows the difference in their personalities. it reminds me of hinata and i really like that hehe

2024-07-20 06:54:13 +0000 UTCThe structure of B does feel more fluid, but the dialogue of A is better to me. Especially Kaien saying how he wants things to happen right now. It feels more teenager to me, like he understands but it’s still a struggle to fully accept that things take time to navigate in adolescence

2024-07-20 06:51:52 +0000 UTCStructurally, I prefer A. I like seeing the parallel between high school and adult Tobio; I feel like it makes the storyline of his growth flow better. On the flip side I like the last page of B dialogue wise it felt like it flower off the tongue more. Both have great points so a mix would be my choice, but leaning more towards A. I think those flashback moments for any character also feel and get the emotions all high after a panel of them now. It's like reminiscing and I like it.

2024-07-20 06:45:10 +0000 UTCI liked A more because of the theme! Kaien asking him what the right answer is, then Kageyama’s immediate response of it being about the right people, the right timing etc. It’s like he’s telling his son even if you don’t know “how” or “what”, you can figure “who” and “when” rather than in B where the part about the “right people” and “right timing” felt more of “these are the signs of when you’ll feel safe” rather than the guidance of A.

2024-07-20 06:42:27 +0000 UTCIt was VEEERY close for me, but ultimately I think I enjoyed reading A better, but I see a lot of the positives in the edited version. I think they both have good things about them, but A felt just the slightest bit longer - which CAN be a negative thing, but for me it just felt like a “longer update”. (Also, I read it first, and I usually like what I experience first a bit better.)
Paige
2024-07-20 06:42:08 +0000 UTCA flows better. But I do like what Kaien says better in B on the last page
Maryssa
2024-07-20 06:40:56 +0000 UTCBoth are so good! but I prefer the first one (A) with the parallel of adult tobio and teenager tobio 🥺 it draws more the attention on Tobio’s growth and the influence of his environnement, which is exactly the point he wants to convey to his son. I loved their father/son moment, thank you 🥺

2024-07-20 06:40:51 +0000 UTCI feel like Post A had a better flow…! Post B was definitely funnier with even more parallels to the canon story, but Post A was definitely it for me…

2024-07-20 06:39:10 +0000 UTCI NEED A BOTH OPTION 😭🙏
