September Preview (Post Delivery)
Added 2022-11-26 16:03:55 +0000 UTCFiles have been dilivered via personal message 26th November.
Topic for September is the first batch of Panzer III / IV track links.
Type 1 Tracks

These are the tracks we can find on both Panzer III and IV produced from 1936 on. There is some confusion about the width: Type 1 tracks are 2cm narrower comparted to all other. The track link itself is ~36cm wide, the track (that's link + pins) are 38cm. All later types have 38cm wide links or 40cm wide tracks.
The good news is you can spot this early type very easily: the "Griffleiste" (that's the large cross brace making contact to the road first) has a very specific look and is wider compared to all other types.

Within the family of Type 1 tracks, there are two different sizes of guide horns. The larger guide horn is the slightly later type and was used on the Panzer IV from Ausf. E on. Otherwise both types are identical in 1/35th scale.

I have included both variants in blank and pre-supported versions.
Since the links are slightly narrower compared to all others, we need shorter pins as well. I have included non-generic pins in black, pre-suppored and patterned variants.

I prefer to use half-length pins in order to preserve as much detail as possible. Inner side should point towards the hull, outer side away from the vehicle.
Disclaimer: These designs are based on scanned type 3 and type 5 tracks modified to match photographes and 2nd hand data of type 1 tracks. I do not own one of these links and have only access to one through a friend's hands Thank you very much for providing the data! Some smaller detail can be slightly off - it won't matter in 1/35, just be aware in case you want to blow the up to 1/5th for your RC build...
Type 2 Tracks

This type was produced from 1940 on, they are the first 38cm wide track link and are pretty much identical with the Type 3 - with one exeption: it is not yet possible to mount "Hammerstollen" (additional ice cleats, mounted to the sides of the track link).

I've based this design on my own Type 3 A link and used photographic data to reconstruct the curved side braces. This type of link is very rare, impossible to get my hands on one unfortunalty. Nevertheless, most if not all of the geometry should be spot on within the scale of 1/35th.

As usual I've included blank and pre-supported versions of this track link.
I hope this release does meet your expectations.
Thank you very much for your support.

I can see the PMs in our chat?! I'll send again anyways.
2022-11-28 19:10:11 +0000 UTCNope, I was already contacted by another Patron. Something must have gone wrong. I got a "batch processing pending" message, on the 2nd page of patrons, maybe that message never went out. Leaving about 30ppl without files. I patch you up right now. All others will have to contact me via PM unfortunatly. I will reach out to all again after the November delivery in order to make sure everybody has his files and the chaos it put to an end.
2022-11-28 19:07:57 +0000 UTCI never got a personal message so does that mean I wont get the files?
