Also, the other thing is that as they are running down the last hallway, you see them playfully smiling at each other, but then when they pause it, they both have an expression of surprise and fear... which makes me wonder wtf they are seeing there, which is the big cliffhanger in my mind.

2025-09-30 08:12:18 +0000 UTCWhat I hate that isn't discussed or brought up is that if they can have the tech in birthing cabins, they can have shopping malls or nightclubs or any sort of buildings for innies, they don't have to go away. I mean, that is what Gemma's experimentation was all about, right? Different situations that a person would want to have an innie to avoid dealing with? So the tech could easily be changed for the purpose of innie hang locations. Innie hotels and resorts. Who knows. The possibilities are endless. Innies don't have to die if Lumon crashes and burns.

Dylan recognized that hhis inne is no other self but a part of himself and he wants to keep tis part he has lost and bring it to life in his outside self. So Dylan would be the one fot whom reintegration would work the best.

The whole concept of Severance is a critique of Scientology, with Kier being an alternate version of L Ron Hubbard. But it is written, mainly, from the perspective of Judaism. Does anyone else think it is possible that Gemma is a Lilith figure, while Helly is taking the role of Eve? Gemma was unable to have children and wanted Mark to stay in his outie version. Helly, meanwhile, rejected her role as heir to Lumon and just wanted to stay with Mark, away from the real world. It's a bizarre take, but there seem to be a few items to consider.

But when I was watching the conversation between outieMark and innieMark and outieMark was basically like "listen your life sucks way worse than mine so I need you to kill yourself. You understand right? Dw though I'll finish reintegration for you :)" only for Devon to immediately confirm he was BSing him I was like oh no, that's really fucked up actually. They're treating him like he's not even a person. Especially when you compare it to how Dylan's outie gave him a choice and treated him as an equal. So when he got Gemma out and then chose to live a little bit longer, I thought that felt totally earned and I supported him lol. At the same time though, I certainly can understand where outieMark was coming from and I completely agree that Gemma deserved a way softer landing than that. They need to give my girl a break in a big way. But I'm pretty intrigued by the set up of Gemma and outieMark's roles being reversed next season too. Basically I'm sitting here both rooting for and feeling sorry for everyone equally - even innieMark and Helly are still on limited time and they know it. They took me on a ride and I wonder if they even know where they're going next lol. Anyway, you're absolutely right, they did want a polarizing reaction and they totally got one lol
