1.6.x

The main push of 1.5.x was new player interactions and new game mechanics, including base building, generic vehicle towing and winching, vehicle wrecks & recovery, aircraft pylon loadout selection, sandbags, weapon lasers, and more. Most of the changes were clientside, with of course some serverside changes to govern the new systems.
With 1.6.x we are shifting focus back to serverside, focusing on mission objectives and tasks. Depending on how much dev time we can allocate and how easy things are to design and implement, the goal is to have a range of new things to do and reasons to fight.
Some examples of what might come:
- Tasks and mini missions around wreck recovery
- Potentially a new urban-combat focused mini gamemode.
- An alternative AO style for Classic mode to introduce some variety while keeping the core simplicity.
- At least one new side mission utilizing the new base-building mechanics.
- At least one new classic/insurgency AO objective utilitzing the base-building mechanics.
- Taking some logic from the "Escort" convoy mission and implementing it as an "ambient hostility" mechanic.
- Base-building persistence. While its not practical to save the entire game state without an SQL database, we will definitely be adding some level of persistence for base-building.
In addition we are in the early prototyping and tool development phase for an unnamed project.
