I do love the movie in its own right too though. I'm definitely interested to see what Taco would think of it in comparison. Most of us have seen the movie first so it'll be a different point of view on it. π

For me, it's very interesting to see the movie and to know that it's exclusively based on the first book (which is the first interview, centered in Louis resentful point of view of Lestat) because that way you can see what Louis told Daniel in San Francisco, wich we only see snippets in the series which is basically Louis being mad at his ex and saying shit. π Its curious for me to see the differences knowing the series did even the first season being aware of the second book. And I really think the show did a fantastic job adding the Dubai interview because that way you can still see the movie and everything has its place. Of course the series are better, that's out of the question, Jacob Anderson and the rest of the cast crushes the cast of the movie. BUT the movie's still very good and iconic! β€οΈβπ₯

BUT you're very intuitive and it would be awesome to hear your commentary on Eternal Sunshine, especially as a mental health professional. I love that movie so much. I cry every time. Also also, the song from Sunshine, "Everybody's Gotta Learn Sometime" is PERFECT for the IwtV S2 finale. Perfect. Have a listen if you don't know it. β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ

2024-11-14 01:29:41 +0000 UTCEternal Sunshine is an all-time favourite of mine! I think youβd enjoy it for its nuance and excellent writing. IwtV might be a disappointment after the showβ¦ prob worth watching from an academic standpoint (and it does have some bright spots).
