IWTV EP 7 S1 FINALE

yes I cried tears. That ball room dance scene got me good

IWTV EP 7 S1 FINALE

Comments

🌮 Love your reactions! I subscribed to you and Frank both just for your iwtv content so I hope to enjoy a bunch of your other stuff too. I don't know if it was pointed out below, but the song they dance to is the song Lestat wrote for Louis.

Julie

Because wtf is Louis talking about lol

Raymond Walker

your facial expressions at the end of the episode had me laughing so hard

Ida

crazykuroneko

omg i never knew that, do you know where he said that?

j-l

FAAAAACTS🔥🔥🔥

Raymond Walker

And btw Jacob Anderson literally for real for real cried during the killing Lestat scene. He's sad to do that to Sam and think their dynamic would change in S2 (because they spent most of the time shooting together, they're bffs)

crazykuroneko

Btw idk if you noticed, but the final played out just like the chess game Lestat abd Claudia did in 1x06: Claudia won, but she didn't finish it.

crazykuroneko

I'm weak. Your reactions are too good, so I subscribed 😎

crazykuroneko

Louis NEVER tells Lestat that he loves him.

MJG Story Creation

This final episode is so good! I have so many thoughts about Claudia and the way she goes about Lestat’s “murder” in relation to Louis. Like in episode 6 when she tells Louisthat he wants to kill Lestat too. I don’t think she’s really right. Or at least, even if Louis wants to *kill* Lestat, he doesn’t want him permanently dead. He loves him too much (they are mutually pretty insane about each other and not always in a good or helpful way). But Claudia does want Lestat dead. And she probably thinks that Lestat being dead would be the best outcome for Louis as well. I can’t wait to hear your thoughts about season 2. I think you’ll really like Armand. I’m happy no one spoiled the reveal for you.

Mozzlan

No I completely agree. I think she loves Louis a lot but he’s her “favorite” because he’s easy to manipulate and she exploits that to get what she wants (which I support because she didn’t choose this life, obviously). She’s our little princess.

Amanda Hill

100% I'm of thr minds set..right ir wrong..she manipulated him as well🤷🏿‍♂️ maybe a hot take but I feel it's supported by Louis saying her and lestat are similar in ways..and this petty ass chess games they were playing where claudia become willing to sacrifice her pawns 🤷🏿‍♂️...what you think?

Raymond Walker

What always strands out to me about this episode is obviously Claudia didn’t trust Louis, but the emphasis on how MUCH she didn’t trust him. He didn’t know who Claudia poisoned until Lestat did. She strategically even said the wrong things to Louis telepathically. I know she loves him, but I also think she knows he’s the easiest to manipulate. She’s smart af.

Amanda Hill

🤷🏿‍♂️ it be like that

Raymond Walker

can't believe the captions spoiled the antoinette reveal! what the hell

Mia

🙏🏿♥️

Raymond Walker

I just read the message in your link and I totes get it! My eyes aren’t so good either.🤓 Take care of you first, ALWAYS! Much Love! 💗

Mizzhoneymy

Thank you 🙏🏿♥️

Raymond Walker

I cannot wait until you review season two. Your thoughts and feelings about this first season were a joy to watch.

Raymond Walker

Can you please tell us what your posting schedules will be for this show and Lovecraft Country? ❤️

Mizzhoneymy

Love love love your reactions and I'm so glad I subscribed to watch the last three here! I think Daniel is an unsung hero for most of S1 - I've seen some reactors really hate him, but I think he's an excellent foil to Louis: not being intimidated or cowed by him, calling him on all his bullshit, basically being a great investigative journalist - though why would one hire one of those for this job instead of a biographer is a great question. The balcony scene is one of Sam's peak moments IMO, and that scene almost didn't make it into the cut as the sound quality was so terrible they thought it was unusable until some brilliant person was able to restore it. What a shame that would have been! I have been obsessed with Lestat for 30 years, and am now equally obsessed with Sam's performance. I feel like he can really sell the operatic drama that comes with the character without it seeming like parody; his skills delivered the charismatic magnificent bastard that book fans love to perfection! I also think that Louis is much more interesting in the show than in the books, which someone alluded to in another comment (if you thought he was bleak and passive here...). While Jacob doesn't have to get as theatrical with his performance as Sam, I think he really shines in the subtleties like his changing accent and affect in each time period and delivery of complex descriptive dialogue (you might tire of it from time to time, but purple prose is one of Anne Rice's hallmarks they certainly maintained). Both of them are giving world-class career-defining performances and I hope they eventually will be recognized for that. I don't know if you enjoy behind the scenes or interviews, but there are plenty of both from after S1 that you can consume if you want to get a ton more insight into the production and craft of the show. Everyone involved is so charming and self-effacing, so delighted to be there, it seems like the set is a tremendously happy and magical place to be. This is the only show where I've known not only all the actors names but also the showrunner, producers, composer, set designer, writers, directors and costumers - and many of them have generously spoken with fans via social media (I've got a nice little collection of bookmarks where I've interacted with several of them, which is quite meaningful to me). If you want any links to engaging content, I'd be happy to supply! Looking forward to your talk with Frank, and season 2!!! (PS sorry for the wall of text, I had THOUGHTS)

Amanda Winstead

Wow those subtitles really be out here straight-up spoiling 😂 I feel like you might've called that Antoinette reveal anyway though. That part on the balcony had me feeling so sad for lestat, even after the last 2 episodes. Lestat was trying so hard to connect with Louis and Louis was a wall. Such amazing performances from both actors. I was also super conflicted at the end, because Lestat just makes this show SO MUCH FUN! He did some f-ed up stuff to them but i feel like the show really needs him. Really fair assessment that Claudia was as guilty of manipulating Louis as Lestat was. Loved the reaction and can't wait for more!

Jessie

hahahah seriously it was exciting but I was like WHO!??!?

sparkle

Man - the way I was laughing at your face at the end! I can’t wait to see how you like season 2!

Acacia

your face at the armand reveal is killing me bc that’s exactly what i looked like on the first watch i just know it 😭

macie

I was so happy when you said that the piano music was beautiful. I knew you would love it.🥰

Yvette

2:59 did you take notice of the dent in Louis's coffin from the fight? It's a cool detail. And them sharing coffins cause Louis threw lestat's off the balcony lol

Gaica

I love NGE sooo much I wish I had an audience for it🥲..youtube hasn't been to friendly to me with views

Raymond Walker

Thank you alee...alot of people keep telling me that so I guess it must be true what you're saying about how alot of reactors are glossing over alot of Louis shortcomings. Really interesting

Raymond Walker

🤣🤣

Raymond Walker

Hoenstly I thought he was a vampire from the beginning so I wasn't too surprised..I even mentioned the books were really high in epsiode 2 or 3..so someone had to fly up there and get them..so when the reveal happens I thought it was just knkw at that time...now him being 500 years old surprised tf outta me

Raymond Walker

asdasdasdads pleasseeeee how could i forget daniel's greatest line?? get 'em danny!!!

alee

What did Daniel call them, whiney, existential queens?

Yvette

The balcony scene and the dancing scene are so emotional. Especially when you know that Lestat knew they were going to try and kill him all along. He pours his heart out to Louis and talks about how much he loves life. Just gotta say how great the acting is again. Sam in the balcony scene and the death scene especially. And Jacob when Daniel is grilling him at the end. His body language is so good. He couldn't look more uncomfortable if he tried. And the fact that it shows him choking Claudia - which was the reason he attacked Lestat in episode 5, for choking Claudia. That always stood out to me. Also, I find it funny that the whole season you seemed to think Rashid was a vampire anyway, when the show was clearly trying to make everyone believe he was human (having him in the sun, having him act like a servant , having Louis drink from him etc). I'm not even sure you noticed him removing his gloves and contacts in that last scene, which were hiding his nails and eyes as they would've given him away. Did you always think he was a vampire? I can't wait to hear you and Frank discuss the show as you seem to have quite different views on characters. Can't wait for you to start season 2. It's amazing!

Kim D

Totally understand how moved the dance made you feel! It's beautiful and bittersweet and super painful knowing what's coming all at once. I also really enjoy your commentary on/critique of Louis, it's not something many reactors touch on as Lestat is this huge bundle of red flags and that can blind people to the flaws of the other characters in the show. I was cackling at how satisfied you were when Louis was recounting the aftermath/how they dealt with the body and Daniel was just like "-_- So, what did you do with it". It's a brilliant match up between the two because Louis can be so long-winded (perhaps as a defense mechanism/evasion tactic consciously or not) and then there's Daniel, who always just cuts to the chase/the heart of the matter even if the way he does it seems harsh. So excited for you to start watching Season 2! The commentary is going to be soooo good I feel it in my bones.

alee

I love Delaney's raspy voice!

ArcAngel

Worth the wait. Brilliant work on your part. So excited for whenever you get to Season 2. In the meantime, I’m gonna hop onto these NGE reactions because I have never seen the dub(?!) and I watched this exactly once in the 90’s. You sure know how to pick a series about the human condition!

Janeka Rector

Also, I feel so bad for newcomers to the franchise watching the Vampire Armand reveal because it means nothing if you don’t know who he is. 😂 People who read the books lost their minds. Every newcomer I’ve seen has been like: okay, and?

Jessica

My only question is whether you gel with the X scar theory I left in 1x05. I think 1x05 is the first indication that Tom will be Lestat’s downfall. Both of the men they scarred with x’s (Tom and police chief Bardeen) were invited to the party and killed 17 years after Lestat and Louis put bullseyes on their cheeks. They were too important to kill until Louis and Lestat decided to burn their lives down and run. I think Claudia taunting Tom about his scar (the “funny x on your face”) was her taunting Lestat and reminding him that Tom has been one of the few people to escape his wrath. Then, Tom just had to open his fucking mouth and seal his fate because he’s Tom.

Jessica

I’m so glad you’re enjoying the series so far,I’ve enjoyed watching your reactions to all of season one, you’re so insightful. And I can’t wait for you to get to season two. Just curious, will you be reacting to the behind the scenes? I think you said you would consider it but since season one is over I wanted to ask. There’s 42 minute videos for each season.

Kyleigh

I don’t want to devulge too much, but let’s just say Louie’s recollections and even his feelings may be tainted…and I agree his overly flowery view and deep verbal romanticization of everything is tiresome. Can’t wait to see what you think of season 2. I also cannot bring myself to hate Lestat. It’s the same way I feel about Daemon Targaryen…

GuidedByGrace

Louis was stuck between Lestat and Claudia. He knew it needed to be done to "free" Claudia but by just cutting Lestats throat he gave Lestat a chance to heal and Claudia time to get away or what I like to believe lol

deedra Mcconis

Season 2 already released in US and way crazy awesome! Now awaiting Season 3. Saw S3 trailer the other day on Youtube....sooooooo good!

Kim

Love that you clocked that it didn't make sense for Louis to be so okay killing Lestat. He tried so hard to lie to himself and pretend like he was able to discard Lestat so easily. The conversation between Lestat and Louis before their dance is so heartbreaking...you can just feel that he knows exactly what's coming and it HURTS him. Armand is 514 years old by the way, not 314! Which is NUTS because Lestat has been the oldest vampire so far. I've never felt that you dislike Louis by the way, in case that's unclear! You are probably one of the MOST objective people I've seen watch this show. A lot of reactors are either all or nothing behind each of the characters, when these characters this story are too complex for that kind of thinking. I CANNOT wait for Season 2! Season 2 is even better imo. 🌮

sierra's reaction corner

You are 100% correct. Just went back and rewatched. I think I jumped the gun knowing he would turn her (books) and thought it had happened mainly bc of the comment "now that I'm dead," but I realize she means Louis/Claudia think she's supposed to be dead. Thanks for the correction!!!

Melissa

You are absolutely right! I just went back and watched. The implication is that he promised to turn her. I guess knowing the books and knowing it was coming, I didn't watch that closely enough. Thank you!! It def makes more sense narratively bc it keeps it a shock for the viewers. 💥

Melissa

After the Finger (so they’d still believe she was human) , but before Claudia getting on the train.

Paris Hardy

And Louis's facial expression is kinda smug, no? Like as a response to all of Daniel's fair criticism, he's like "Look! This is the love of my life. Take back all your judgment!" 😂

Melissa

Wow! Thank you, I'm glad we can revisit this story together and it's therapeutic for me as well trust me. Thank you for sharing this comment and favorite reactor 🥲 Thank you one hundred times 🙏🏿...onward we go to season 2

Raymond Walker

Speaking of Mr. Anderson, you and Franklin should watch the after the episode clips for season 1 and the behind the scenes making of the show before you talk about it together.

Melissa

I found it very funny that when Louis kills Lestat you said "I don't understand, he was so in love with him and now he does this... I understand his motives but im not rocking with it" And right after thanks to Daniel (who yes, totally, represents what we all think) we find out that Louis really couldn't betray Claudia nor Lestat, because he loves him, so he did the only thing he could think of, leaving Lestat in the coffin (with a lock inside) in a place where he knew there were rats so he could survive. I've felt like you about Louis many times, because he's a character who survives on self-pity and putting himself as the victim at times when he's also responsible. For example, he always focuses on himself and his problems and always goes on about how he ‘doesn't want to be a monster like Lestat’ but he never wonders how Lestat feels when he sees that Louis sees him that way and ignores that when Lestat became a vampire he also had to go through the same thing (seeing those he loved around him die and overcoming the fear of killing to live), which you don't have to know by the series or the book, because its just common sense, but Louis doesn't think about that. Its always, him, his suffering and his drama. But I think it's important to always keep in mind that in this story we only have the points of view of Louis and Claudia, two characters who for their own reasons (and some of those reasons may not be 100% valid) resent Lestat. So everything we see Lestat say or do, is from their point of view. We don't really see the true Lestat because Louis and most of all, Claudia are really bias. I guess we'll see what happens in season 2. By the way, I wanted to tell you, you're my favourite reactor and I love your videos, I never subscribed to anything in my life until I saw you started watching the series, thanks a thousand for your content, I've been in a rough situation this year and watching this with you its helping me a lot! And I hope you get better and feel better about your eyes soon!

Victoria

You may be right. In my mind's eye, I feel like her eyes are vampire eyes in that scene. I'll go back and look. Thinking about it though, it would be smarter to not reveal that or have it happen then so as not to ruin the surprise in ep 7.

Melissa

I respect that. She's incredible. I have a soft spot for Bailey, but there's no way in the world to criticize a single thing about Delaney

Melissa

Just alot of manga/anime 😅

Raymond Walker

🤣🤣🤣🤣

Raymond Walker

We reconvene after season 2☺️ ( don't forget)..thank you for hearing me out

Raymond Walker

🤣🤣aayy someone got me

Raymond Walker

I hope you don't wait long to watch season 2! It seems like you're watching it on Netflix in the US (it's not on Netflix here in the UK), so I'm assuming season 2 hasn't released on Netflix US yet. If not, it should be on AMC+, or possibly also Amazon. I'm watching it on Amazon myself. I'm not even done with the second season because they only released it in the UK a few weeks ago and, even though I bought it, are only releasing it an episode at a time, which is maddening. They finally released the rest so I'll be watching that ASAP! I hope you do too!

Tasia Barrett

She was definitely alive when they caught Lestat and her. Lestat needed them to see she was alive but human before he turned her to spy on them. Look at her eyes in that scene last episode...they are still very much human eyes. And all the bite marks on her. Not healed. Those would heal very quickly for a vampire.

Tasia Barrett

By the way, this Louis is still much more assertive than book Louis. In the book Louis was just depressed and passive all the time and was following the wind. His big arc in this show and across multiple books as well is to find meaning in his life and to find his own self.

Mary

Vampire Armand is one of the greatest characters in the book. Soooo interesting, so juicy. You are not ready 😭

Mary

I think Louis participating in Claudia’s plan is supposed to mirror real situations when a spouse finally decides to leave their abusive partner because the kid can’t do it anymore and the spouse just does it because they think it’s better for them and for the kid. There was an interview with Sam Reid who said that this was a big moment for Lestat as a well. A lesson of sorts. He appreciates how badass Claudia is but also accepts the punishment because deep down he knows that he did a lot of things wrong. This is how I took it as well.

Mary

The Love of my Life comment... Ooof!!! 😵

ArcAngel

You don't like my imogee rendition of FoxTaco??? Whaaa??? I'm crushed!!! 😂😭😂

ArcAngel

The "Mr. Anderson" comment was amazing lol. Love the reference 😂. I love your reactions. They're everything! Can't wait to hear you and FrankFreezy discuss.

darkparadise.

Agree. You could see Louis didn't want to do it. I think Louis seems so helpless (in a way) because it's been decades since making Claudia and while he loves her, it's been long enough to know, he pushed Lestat to make her for his own selfish reasons, and she is the thing which cannot be reconciled now. Louis has matured and getting past his initial rebellious stage, he is growing out of it. But during his rebellious stage, he made Claudia -- not saying he regrets it, but now he has a responsibility to her even if his heart wants to try to work things out with Lestat. That would be a depressing place to find yourself. Knowing one of the two people you love wants to leave, but you want to stay, but she will never be happy at home, but you will miss Lestat forever if you leave, but you also feel responsible for her happiness, etc. Louis must go round and round and round in his head. Probably why he seems so low energy sometimes.

ArcAngel

so glad you got to this episode and now you’re onto season 2!!! shit gets crazy. or to be accurate — crazier. man, i don’t think i’ve seen anyone else really see and criticize and hold louis accountable in the way you have. i love it. because i think people love to reduce him into small little labels; and like. no. he’s just as multi dimensional and responsible, in terms of his actions, as everyone else in the show. he himself has definitely been wronged in multiple ways by lestat, but he’s also wronged people in his life as well. i feel like ppl tend to see him as the top moral guy when he is just as morally grey as the rest. and i’ve noticed how ppl get super surprised to see that get even more clear in season 2, but i feel like those aspects of Louis’ character have always been there. i also found it really interesting how you mentioned that claudia has controlled him too a bit bc j never saw it that way before but seeing you mention it made me view things in a different light. like louis really was a pawn for BOTH lestat and claudia in certain ways. ALSO that dance scene… phew! it gets me every time bc it’s like, you see them embrace each other totally in front of a whole audience especially in that time period, and it hurts when you know their history and their issues. louis has always been so scared to really present his true self to the outside world and to himself even, and in that moment, you get a glimpse of that. and for it to have been with lestat makes the pain even greater bc you also see a glimpse of those good moments we saw and didn’t see, but also what could have been — the scene always reminds me of the pilot where lestat and louis are in the church, and lestat tells louis “trust that i am scared of this home we have barely had a glimpse of” and the thing is… even though they were together for so many years, i think that glimpse of a home, in the metaphorical sense lestat was talking about between them two, was barely even experienced between them. was it possible? yes. bc there are little glimpses of it we see throughout the show but that dance scene was one that really hit home for me. i was honestly surprised when you said that the motives to kill lestat for claudia were there yet not for Louis, but the more i think about it — the more i agree with your take. Although claudia said that he wanted to kill lestat too, i also don’t think he really did. Yes, lestat had put him through the ringer too and I do believe there was enough hurt there for Louis to have wanted to kill him, but I think in the end, Louis tried to kill Lestat FOR claudia. By himself and for himself, he would have never done it. For claudia, he would have tried, which he did, but failed in the end because his heart was simply not in it. there are so many things i want to say but i don’t want to spoil season 2 for you so goodbye for now!

caroline

I kept thinking while watching your reaction, watching the very real emotional connection between Louis and Lestat... "couldn't this horrible situation have been avoided?". Because, as you said, clearly there IS real love here. And i can't help but think, if only Lestat could have helped Louis make Claudia instead of making Claudia for him, things would have been very different. Because, it's an untenable situation to have both your husband and child linked in constant mind to mind communication while being blocked out. Especially in a situation like this. If on that fateful night, Lestat had insisted that Louis work the dark trick on Claudia, then she and Louis wouldn't be linked mind to mind, instead she and Lestat would. Which would have helped bond Claudia and Lestat and prevented the constant alienation of Lestat -- which would have made a huge difference because when Lestat felt alienated, he sought solace elsewhere, which in turn caused a bigger rift in their family. I can't help but think that one change in the family dynamic may not have fixed everything, but it could have mitigated some of the damage and slowed the downward slide. It may have eliminated Antoinette from the picture naturally. And a stronger bond between Lestat and Claudia could possibly have prevented the ultimate act of destruction.

ArcAngel

Claudia two won me over! Which is difficult as a person originally coming from the books (Claudia not as lovable in the books).. Season one Claudia was good, but season two Claudia -- amazing!

ArcAngel

Agree on everything you said, I want to add, for me, I love season two Claudia even better. She has an endearing quality that gets to me like no Claudia ever (not season 1, not the movie, not the book). She's top Claudia! 😂

ArcAngel

Thank you for pointing out that Lestat turned Antoinette last episode and that Antoinette mentioned it. Because I didn't realize our beloved 🌮 missed that! And there I was after last episode, blathering on, talking about how Lestat didn't technically lie to Louis and Claudia because they told him to "kill" Antoinette and technically he did! 😂. (typical bratty Lestat 'letter of the law' antics!). When I realized Taco didn't catch that detail, I felt SO guilty for possibly spoiling. I was hoping someone would bring this up, and you did -- THANK YOU!!!

ArcAngel

🤣🤣🤣🌮ARC you and those damn dogs hahaha in feeling great ☺️

Raymond Walker

I loved your reaction. I agree, it's a complex world in which all the characters are equally flawed. I think different viewers attach to different characters depending on their own histories. You shouldn't be worried about sharing your opinions on Lestat, Louis and Claudia, I think they are nuanced and refreshing! For me, I attach more to Claudia and Lestat who deal with trauma by acting strong, taking action, going on the attack or hiding their vulnerability. I relate to that more. Louis I feel like can be passive and go with the flow, and then blame others for his situation. All are just different reactions to trauma, again it's sometimes just about who you relate to the most.

Three Dalmations

Bravo! Excellent finale reaction! Thank you so much! Cannot wait to hear your thoughts about the characters once we get into season 2 -- there's much growth yet to come. And really, the feelings of "I don't know what to feel right now" that you seem to be having are probably natural because this season is literally ending smack in the middle of the first Vampire Chronicle novel. Our feelings should feel somewhat frustrated as our character & story arcs are incomplete. All the more excitement for season 2! 😀Hope you are feeling well 🐕🌮?

ArcAngel

Lestat didn't turn Antoinette when he took her finger, they just faked her death. That's why she says "promises were made" in that scene. She's reminding Lestat he promised to make her a vampire and he responds that the promise will be kept. He turned her sometime after that.

xylophanes

The ending where he's says Armand makes an impact to the readers of the books cuz I jumped out of my seat when he said Armand when i 1st watched it lol & screamed "oh sh@t" there's definitely back story. so the drama with the music & him revealing himself is a shocker. Not sure what I can tell you because it might ruin season 2 for you. I think after season 2 we'll can spill. There's actually two or 3 people on YouTube who are avid readers of the series & know the books inside out & do a breakdown on every episode and tell you what's in the book & what's changed if you want to know what you're not catching from the episodes

Elle

Ahhh, ok. I thought you were making reference to not understanding Armand’s significance to Daniel. I won’t spoil anything for you, but some of your questions may be answered in season two….or maybe not 🤷🏽‍♀️😂😂😂😂 I’m glad Frank, and you in by way of him, took my advice and reacted to this show. What a ride it is!!!!

Dee

🤣🤣🤣 no no no Melissa no worries I love these convos

Raymond Walker

I'm looking forward to seeing his character more as well

Raymond Walker

And Eric Bogosian as Daniel = perfection. Both Claudia actors are so impressive and the transition is really seamless. Ahhhh!! I love this show so much sorry for so many comments. I feel like it's a drug and I'm on withdrawal so your reactions are helping me get through the pain of waiting for season 3. 😆

Melissa

The talent of the actors in this show is 🔥. But I will admit I get mesmerized by Sam. I mean, he's a beautiful man, yes, but it's his charisma, facial expressions, body movement, and just his full embodiment of this character I've known and loved on the page. I really cannot imagine anyone doing it better. Jacob Anderson was a revelation for me as I'd only seen them waste his talent in GoT. I could go on and on . . . Assad Zaman who plays Armand gets much more opportunity to show us his depth of acting brilliance in season 2

Melissa

You're a sharp dude. 🧠

Melissa

Yeeessss..he gave Louis a few chances..Sam Reid delivers..they all do..but I feel Lestat gets misunderstood alot which is a shame because Sam spells it out on his face EVERY time ..

Raymond Walker

100%!! Best show I've seen in YEARS.

Melissa

And . . . AMC+ bought the rights to the entire Anne Rice library.

Melissa

Now that you’ve heard half the story, I CAN’T WAIT until you hear the rest. One of the most brilliant aspects of this show is that leaves no loose threads by the end. Nearly every question the narrative poses is eventually answered, which is an extremely difficult feat to achieve.

Andre

Yes and the scene on the balcony beforehand . . . Lestat knows, and the pain in his eyes. 🥺

Melissa

It already has been renewed for season 3 and there are MANY books in the Vampire Chronicles (Lestat being Anne Rice's "muse" as she has said). Season 3 will still be called IwtV but it'll follow the 2nd book called The Vampire Lestat, where we get all his backstory and such.

Melissa

I think your critique of Louis is absolutely fair. Think about Claudia's plan and the layers as well as Lestat's with Antoinette == CHESS GAME. 👏 Lestat turned Antoinette back when he took her finger. She makes a comment saying, "Well now that I'm dead . . ." about her singing career. It's a blink, and you miss it moment. Sam Reid talked about the death scene & how he felt (as Lestat) that if Louis was taking this action to kill him, he really must have deserved it. 💔 Rewatch that scene of Daniel dressing Louis down and watch Armand in the background. You'll see him doing some things before he rises into the air (he has the cloud gift just like Lestat!) Last note just for precision: Armand is 514 years old. 😳😳😳

Melissa

That dance mad me cry..gosh damn was that powerful and EARNED *edit thanks fam Armand is 500+ years old🤣🤣 I saw it while editing🙏🏿♥️

Raymond Walker

Season 1 only covers half on the first book OMG!!!!🔥🔥 please let this show get a season 4 and 5

Raymond Walker

Right yall know my eyes bad hhaha, I saw it on the playback it was 500 but i figured you all would just correct it so no biggie lol. No i actually did remember but maybe i didn't articulate my thoughts at the end of episode 6 or the beginning of this one. I thought Armand had an ability to enter dreams or something like that and rewrite/watch as a bystander and like impose some sort of intemedation. So when i was saying "wtf did he do to Daniel" it was me being curious to if he has planted some type of seeds in his mind. Wrong or right I feel even more inclined to believe that after dude says hes 500 years old. He probably has sooooo much knowledge or i am wrong and he really was there in the past...thank yoh for hearing me out..and starting this whole chain of events for Frank and myself

As you may know, the series is based on the first book in the Vampire Chronicles of the same name. Season 1 only covers half of the book, continuing in season 2. So it's really all one continuous story. And boy does it get crazy!!! Strap in. 😂

I loved your reaction to this this show, you’ve have brought up some points that many other reactors usually miss. I love that you rock with the Lestat and Claudia dynamic because they are literally my favorites. That ending scene was amazing but also jarring when you spend all season listening to Louis talk about Lestat and how in love they were just for him to hit you with the “love of my life” LMFAO

I had all of those emotions! Went from hating Lestat to feeling so conflicted. The writers do such a great job of painting these grey characters. And I was so confused at Louie talking about Armand was the love of his life. Blink twice Louie! lol. That ending scene with Daniel was AMAZING. Fun coming along for your reviews this season. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on season 2

Armand is 514 not 300. 5. Halfway to 1000. So imagine that dynamic. I love that You Love how much Daniel calls Louis on his bullshit. It’s what I ADORE about the show over the movie. Louis’s character in all iterations is confusing, confused, at odds with himself & his actions & his own desires. This version gets called out for it way more & I love it as much as I love Louis himself. Claudia in season 2 is AMAZING! There is not a drop in acting or character development. It’s an Advancement. It’s an Evolution. Just stellar acting, writing , costuming from the entire team. I need you on Season 2 ASAP! 🌮

I so love your reaction. I especially love when you thought you knew what was going on, but knew you had so many surprises coming. Just for clarification: Armand is 514 years old. I think you forgot the ending of episode 6 when Daniel was dreaming of the night he met Louis in the 70’s. If you remember, he saw Armand come up to Louis in the club and woke up startled because why was Armand there? Was that a memory or a dream? He didn’t know. That’s why he was looking at and questioning Armand this episode, because he knew something was off. Like, how did Louis feed on 130 pound Armand and Armand not pass out, but the other heavier bodybuilder that Louis fed off of was so weak that he passed out afterwards? He has his suspicions about Armand all along, but the fact that the sun didn’t affect him anymore, he barely slept when Louis did and he didn’t drink blood in front of him threw Daniel off. Armand is much older than Lestat, so the sun doesn’t affect him much and he has the cloud gift. Anyway, no spoilers, but season 2 is even better in my opinion. And the new Claudia is great. I can’t wait for you to watch it.

Yes Lestat knew it all along.he turned Antoinette to listen to them Armand is 514 years old I was iffy about the recast but it really works imo as the character being in a different phase of her life. Daniel is the voice of the audience lol
