11.1 is coming up, so let’s take a look at the changes coming to professions.

The stat nerf

11.1 will likely bring the change to stats, which nerfs multicraft and buffs resourcefulness. Based on the numbers provided the end result is that multicraft is still a lot better than resourcefulness for every item that can multicraft, but the gap is smaller (but still so large that choosing resourcefulness ever is the wrong choice.

I’m up to a toal of 1485 gold wortth of sales since I started the challenge. January has been about scaling and flipping materials. I Currently have 18 gold, 50 gold worth of sold auctions about to come in, and another 319 gold worth of auctions on the AH. Prepare for 11.1 now!

Patch launches are historically the main time to generate profits as the economic activity is a lot higher during the first week.

Activity spikes and so do profits

Generally speaking if you want to get really rich in WoW the best approach is to play extremely actively when profits are high in end game markets. The weeks around a patch launch is prime time. Players come crashing back into the game and gear up their character and prepare for a new season of raids and M+.
