CLAUDIA

I am so proud of the growth and perseverance Claudia displayed in EP5. She went through a disgusting event. She did not let that define her. She has come in to her own through her trails and tribulations.

Grace's decisions was very understandable, this was the only way she was able to move on with her life. With that being said Claudia taking on a new role by both horns and becoming Louis support, his bestfriend , the person that will always have his back. His sister was the most admirable decisions i personally have seen a character make this far into the show.

It's ironic the youngest vampire is the one having the most character growth. The one being able to assess a full situation, seeking information and an understanding of what she is. She did not go around Lestat she went THROUGH that MF!!!! Louis looking at her for support and also standing up to Lestat OMG!!!!!! YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Ill try and have the reaction up by tonight smh. Man oh man. Greatest show streaming!!!

i definitely understand grace as well. she needed to find some sort of peace in regards to louis. this was her older, dependable, loving brother who she grew up with, who she shared secrets with, and who she laughed with. and then all of a sudden, in her eyes, vanished for no reason and became a whole new person (although not rlly) . but something i also notice in grace’s behavior towards louis that i haven’t seen many ppl point out (maybe you did in the most recent reaction you posted which i haven’t watched yet but will soon) is that her behavior and ultimate rejection of louis stems from homophobia. some of her comments “white daddy” “do you think you and her uncle are the right people to adopt an orphan?” “you can’t be my louis” is underlined with said homophobia, especially given the time period. what i love ab this show is that it also found a way to mix vampirism with sexuality. louis even points it out in the first and second episode. it’s all intertwined for him. becoming a vampire meant “coming out” and acting on his sexuality — in terms of louis’ family, his mother is the most obvious example. she doesn’t know he’s a vampire, she judges him for what he wears and how he lives, and after it’s clear he and lestat are more than just business partners, she no longer plays nice with lestat. neither does grace, even though they were somewhat charmed by him during their first meeting (before he exploded at Paul lol) — by being a little more open and true to himself, although he still has a long and grueling road ahead (we believe in him) , He lost his family due to the only explanation his family rlly had and could come up with, i think, which was that he was now leading a different life with a man and living with him and adopting an orphan with him. and the way the writers skillfully and poignantly show that through vampirism is so tragic. but anyway… yes. claudia is the IT GIRL of this show (some ppl unfortunately dislike her but they are a very small minority thank god) and she is the soul of the show. always. the strongest, most resilient character.

Whew won’t this show do it to you? I just rewatched S2 today. It grabs you and keeps a hold on you it’s so good. Can’t wait to see your reaction to this episode.

She is so strong. Stronger than the full grown man, Louis. You can't help but love and root for her. She will never forget Lestat's words, 'It was never you!'

Yvette

So fast omg! Can’t wait, this is an insane episode! Everything about Claudia’s growth is so true and she deserves the world.
