The Apache Wars: Part One

Part Two will be up at the end of November and will largely center around Victorio. Victorio is the type of person you would expect Geronimo to be, if that makes sense. I'll also get more into the Reservation system. It's already written. I gotta drive back to Big Bend!

I think the usual rule with movies will hold out here. As in: the second isn't burdened by setting everything up. The script flows much nicer, and we get to really appreciate some details, which we didn't much get ...

Update on the Apache

That Halo video I discussed will certainly come out at SOME point, but I've decided to keep it in the reserve as I embark upon my Apache Wars trilogy. Three videos over three months, each one covering roughly a decade and focusing on a different figure. I really cannot bear to not deliver again, but it's going to be a busy three months, and I need the Halo video ready in case of a delay.

A Return to Form (and school)

I started going to college. What am I majoring in? C'mon.

My first day in History class, my professor introduced the idea that History isn't just "what happened"! Rather, it's an argument. I wanted to crawl out of my skin. In this video I will discuss briefly the Spanish influence on the "wild west" as well as the Camp Grant Massacre. The goal with this video was to establish just how widespread violence, raiding, and enslavement was in this part of the world. Also, to show how the cyclical nature of violence enforces itself.
