Mister Teapot
Added 2019-07-24 01:29:10 +0000 UTCI wrote Mister Teapot at the end of high school senior year for Candice. We went on one terrific and only date, and I wrote this inspirational song for her. When I played the song for her twenty years later while producing the book, she swore she’d heard the song at some point. I wonder if it was during that first date? Probably scared her off, which is good, because it has become my wife, Johanna’s and my son, Charlie’s favorite song. My college band, ThRe3 CaR GaRagE had a reunion, and everyone chipped in to record the song in June 2019 to celebrate the book. Thank you to Travis on bass and Doug on drums. We also recorded a B-side, Watch The Java.
