Progress!
Added 2020-03-09 17:17:25 +0000 UTCThis week has mostly been about visual development for the new Oscar story. Last week I was not sure who my new character was but after this week, she's become a lot clearer to me. This is what I know so far:
Young woman in her mid 20s.
Black (or mixed)
Musican (her weapon of choice, the Keytar!)
Drives a cool, offbeat vehicle (haven't made up my mind yet on what sort).
Needs to get to the city before dawn to play at a gig to fulfill a promise.
Is carrying something super important to her (not going to reveal this yet).
I believe I have the ending for her arc figured out, but oddly enough not the beginning. Usually this is the opposite problem I have.
Anyhoo, there's still a lot of work to be done but I can feel the momentum already and it's taking a lot of restraint to not spend all my time working on the new story (I still have paying jobs I gotta do).
Next week I think I'll work on her vehicle and her how Oscar fits into all this.
Oh here's an earlier sketch of her that I don't like as much. I felt compelled to give her a motorcycle jacket in case she rode a motorcycle but I don't really like the whole design. Maybe I can find a way to make it work...
