Breaking The Chelsea Grimm Disappearance Wide Open

The plot has certainly thickened. I agree with the SO angle. I think she took the white truck photo in her mirror to leave a visual note. It doesn't feel aesthetically pleasing like her other photos, but definitely framed with intention. So not necessarily "in case something happens to me, here's the plate #" but not just for the hell of it either. Especially if she was 'CA weird' at the time and unsure. Perhaps she had already seen or encountered the bottle throwing-ish truck. If she saw it from the front, with no plate per AZ, then some time later saw it again...might she take the photo to capture its rear plate thinking it was one and the same? Also, "...rather shocked and surprised at some of the decisions made by the sheriff." I for one would love to know what you actually said after that, but in guessing...no doubt a reason it was summarily squelched.

2026-02-12 04:46:51 +0000 UTCOh, you could say that. After spending so much time working on it, the private investigative company essentially backed out of wanting anything to do with it when it was ready for release. Apparently, their relationship with the Coconino County Sheriff had changed for the better and they no longer wanted to be seen giving insider info to a YouTuber. I could have just released it anyway. There's nothing stopping me from legally doing that... but I decided to bite the bullet and be diplomatic instead. I had to basically re-source all the information they gave me on my own (contact witnesses, the lead detective, etc.), and reshoot the whole thing. It's basically done now and I'll probably post it on here (Or maybe I'll just release it publicly right off the bat). I'll give a full explanation of what happened when/if I do the repost on here. The new version still has all the same information (pretty much) but there won't be any mention of Arizona Investigative Associates in it. I thought it was cool of them to reach out to the channel for this project but it kinda blew up in my face and wound up being a lot more work than it ever should have been.

2026-02-12 00:15:28 +0000 UTCI’m a bit curious on why this hasn’t been released yet. Was there a snag on some of the info presented?

2025-09-30 04:38:09 +0000 UTCI totally agree. In my last video on this case I completely downplayed the possibility of foul play, so this video seems a necessary follow-up/correction. Obviously, there is a much greater chance that bad guys were in this area than I anticipated. Even the Sheriff acknowledged that Forest Road 6 was frequented by lawless types. I think the witness who saw the 3-4 men could be critical because of the time it occurred. After that sighting, Chelsea is never seen again. It is possible she wandered off, but the timing of that specific sighting (with the 3-4 men) seems pretty significant.

2025-09-26 21:27:08 +0000 UTCThank you for the very informative update and your continued efforts, Nick! Chelsea's case was on my mind again recently. I thought there were many indications for her walking off and getting lost as a consequence of her increasing mental disintegration . Even in light of the new witness reports, I would still consider getting lost more likely than foul play. Proximity to criminal activities alone does not outweigh the evidence on Chelsea's mental state and her taking precious items with her. The sighting of 3-4 individuals at the SUV after the disappearance could be critical. But it could just as well be benign: we know there were various people at the car around that time and the accuracy of witness accounts from that distance and after some time had passed is not always the best. Certainly warrants further investigation and attention though.

2025-09-26 21:11:16 +0000 UTCHard disagree on this one. In that section of the video I say exactly what I expected the Officer to do... contact her dispatch. Let them know that there was a young female deep in the Kaibab whose car was damaged, out of gas, and she was virtually stranded. That requires her to do nothing but pick up her radio and it could have possibly even changed the outcome. Regarding the PI, is there some particular part you're skepitcal of? do you think they fabricated the photos of the truck? the whatsapp messages? the Apple phone records? Do you think they fabricated interviews with entire witnesses like Officer Karen? I can tell you that this is a pretty large agency. It's not just one guy sitting in a room. They worked closely with Coconino County in the beginning. If anything was fabricated then Coconino County would know because they have all this information. CCSO could easily come out and ruin the reputation of AIA. No one would ever use them again. Without some evidence to doubt the veracity of anything they're saying... what would you have me do? Not report any of it? There's a certain level of trust you have to give information depending on the source. The same goes for police reports (which themselves are not always accurate). I've talked with this agency for many, many hours. They're competent and professional. They also realize their reputation is on the line in this video.

2025-09-26 13:29:47 +0000 UTCIt's mentioned briefly in this video during the Officer Karen encounter, and I go into greater detail in the first, but Chelsea's car was completely out of gas. So much so that when authorities re-keyed it the car wouldn't even try to start. So she was definitley immobilized.

2025-09-26 13:28:02 +0000 UTCI think you are overly harsh on the fish & game officer. After all she is an adult that refuses help, you expect them to forcibly remove her from the area? To call it a near emergency is exaggerating and doesn‘t really have a meaning in terms of what an official can do. Also personally quite sceptical to what any PI states as theory, in so many missing person cases the PI comes out with wild theories, they are incentivised to create more work for themselves and don‘t have to follow same standards as LE. I like this channel for its balanced and nuanced views rather than the screaming and hype of so many others out there and frankly a bit disappointed you just assume everything a PI says is the truth

2025-09-26 08:21:25 +0000 UTCIn no way is a car immobilized by a couple of flat tires lol. She obv drove quite a ways on the flat tires, and could have easily kept going. you can drive on your rims as long as you have traction, I know this because I've done it on a dare. Drove miles until a cop pulled me over. This seems to be a trope in horror movies, where someone is seemingly stranded somewhere due to a flat, to their peril, where in reality they could have just kept going. How many cop chases have you seen where someone has kept going at high speeds with all the tires blown, and were only taken out after being pitted by a cop.

2025-09-25 00:28:05 +0000 UTCPoor girl, I hope this new information helps in finding her or generating renewed interest in her case. I wonder if her being on something would make her more susceptible to leaving with those 3 other people....Great work Nick! 👏

2025-09-25 00:26:10 +0000 UTCWow. What seemed like a straight forward case in some ways was clearly not at all. Thank you for sharing the update! Amazing work as always

2025-09-24 22:20:11 +0000 UTCI hope Chelsea's parents sue Karen, the Park Service, and the sheriff. Thanks for your research in this. It's very frustrating. By the way, can you please tell me the name of the music you use? It's very evocative.
