Killed By A Sasquatch? The Disappearance & Death Of Jordan Grider

Comments

Excellent analysis, as always. Did anyone ever raise the possibility of foul play related to the border? For instance, smugglers of some kind? If Border Patrol is a fixture in the area, well, where there's smoke . . . I would be curious as to any available statistics from Border Patrol about the numbers and types of contacts, including arrests its agents make in that area. Maybe Jordan hit the "bad lottery" and was preyed upon by some criminal element related to the border? Rest in peace.

Complete speculation, but what if he died of natural causes? Maybe he died in his sleep and his body was scavenged by birds while in the hammock. This would explain the blood without damaging the hammock itself. There’s also the chance that he somehow injured himself, perhaps falling and hitting his head. Head wounds bleed like hell, and if he was seriously injured from one maybe he stumbled back to the camp to lay down. He cuts some bandages and lies down, only to pass away from a very serious injury. Again, it explains the blood and the otherwise undamaged camp. Just a couple ideas.

Fascinating story. Thank you for covering this.

Julie Mendelsohn

Certainly plausible, but if he died in the hammock then the wolves should have torn it apart trying to get at him. I suppose he could have just fallen out... but then you might expect a bloody scene below the hammock.

The sheriff's report failed to mention a number of things that were photographed but not catalogued in writing. Some of the stuff he purchased could have remained in his truck. Not sure about blood on the jacket either. The shirt they found seemed to be intact from the photos and without blood. Your theory is plausible. Though, if he laid down to die in his hammock, I'm still surprised the wolves didn't tear it apart getting to him. Also, recall his truck was moved from its original location. So, he could have thought it was towed away completely.

The Missing Enigma

It does appear as though there is a sleeping bag and inflatable pad in the hammock, both covered in blood.

The Missing Enigma

Maybe he like feel asleep with the knife after sharpening it and like rolled into it, or it was in his hands and it dropped down into him while laying down.

Why do you think they'd want the knives? You're telling yourself a story when there's no story to be told. The knives were in the truck. Nick said that. They weren't special or valuable. People do not always kill because they want something. Some people just kill to kill. I wonder what was in the garbage bags in the truck.

So a couple questions. Did they find the things he bought at the store, the package of gallon bags. Was the jacket found outside of the tent ripped or bloody? Because I'm not a camper, let me ask you this question. Is it possible that he got up and Went out to go to the bathroom and didn't put his boots on? Perhaps he had moccasins that were later lost. Or he kicked off running. If he were attacked by man or beast. Is it possible he made it back to the tent and then lay down to die. It's kinda hard to believe, Nicholas, that his truck was so close that he wouldn't at least make an attempt to drive to get some help. Thank you so much for your humility, your thoughtfulness, and your kindness to the family.

of the theories: Cut by razor: plausible Wolves: not a fat chance, the campsite would be a wreck and hammock be torn up Random person: no way they've of taken the knives at least Bigfoot: yeah he road in there on his Pegasus Unicorns... I don't have a clue what actually happened, but I do agree with the mom I think he was only there a few days. Was probably killed before the 15th and likely sooner like the 11th. After he died wolves, vultures, badgers, rats, insects scavenged the body and made off with the bones.

Parents always seem To be in denial

Lorna Dryden

Was the sleeping bag still in the hammock?

Lorna Dryden

I first thought this was the equally perplexing case of that biologist who disappeared up in far northern Canada that the RCMP still has an open file on. Thanks for the video, always look forward to your work.

Mario Rahmani

Thanks Nick. These always make my day.
