Very interesting to see this story develop. Having the boy and his grandma come out in public and tell the story is interesting.

2023-09-02 19:27:56 +0000 UTCHaving now watched the video nothing has really changed in my mind. Nothing can't be explained from his imagination running wild, likely coming from the adults "leading him" without knowing it. That said I'm sure Indiana FIRMLY believes it happened and still has the memories about it; but you can ask the Fell's Acres child care people about false memories. In that case multiple children gave very graphic deceptions of sexual assault from the care takers there. Let me be clear The alleged sexual assaults DID NOT HAPPEN, but do to "leading" questions many children said they did. By leading here's the jist of what happened. One day a female child had diarrhea and soiled herself and clothing (so shocking for a day care I know) and the (adult) brother of the women who ran the child care helped clean her up (again nothing wrong with what he did, he basically just carried her to the bathroom and cleaned up her mess). When she got home her parents had asked her what had happened. Because they kept asking the daughter and; well if you keep asking a child about an event, eventually they think the adult is wanting something different; so the child will say something different. I forget the exact condition this is called (no formal psychologist, just an computer armchair keyboard one ;). Thus the female child began saying the man had touched her "private areas". They panicked other parents began to endlessly question their child at the day care. By the end of the day several children had alleged sexual assault from the brother of the owner; which wasn't true. The point I'm trying to make, and I've rambled off, is if you ask very young children about an event a lot, eventually its been proven they will start to make shit up because they think the story they were telling was wrong; as seen in the child care case I was talking about. There are studies done where they will tape videos of kids interacting with doctors, the dr won't even touch them; and after a lot of questioning the child will start to allege the dr touched them, and sometimes in their genitals area; video proof it didn't happen. Getting back I think the parents were asking Indiana about the incident a lot and eventually he made up the story. At first it was an old women who took him away. And questions like that turned a very generic false memory into very specific story. "What did she look like? Did she look like Grandma?" turns the old women into a Grandma Cappy in their memory. "Where did she take you?" Turns into the cave, "what was there" leads into various things, etc. The parents then chalk it up to over active imangination. And also it may not have been the parents asking the questions here, it very well could have been the older sister and the same false memories could happen. But to Indiana these false memories are just as real to him as me watching this TME video.

2023-09-01 20:23:40 +0000 UTCI kept my eyes on the cliff the entire time. I was looking for an opening. It doesn't come across well on the camera, but the way up to the cliff face was very steep. So it wasn't really an area you could walk along. If there was a cave somewhere along there, I imagine it would have been very difficult for a small child (and perhaps even a robot grandma) to get up to.

2023-09-01 19:44:42 +0000 UTCLet's see, he was missing from about 7pm to midnight. He was found roughly 1.5 trail miles away from the spot where he disappeared. I don't think he would need 5 hours to cover such a distance, so skeptically, you might say he walked to the spot and just hid there for a few hours. On the other hand, if his story was true then he was taken somewhere for a few hours before getting dropped off at the bush and found soon after. The part that I think is interesting is this - Since there is a trail there, you would think that searchers would try walking it first and foremost. Yet it took hours for him to be found. So, either the searchers walked up the trail and kept missing him (or maybe he wasn't there), or the searchers didn't try looking on the trail until 5 hours into the search (but that seems very odd). If he was just sitting right off the trail the whole time why wasn't he found?

2023-09-01 19:21:02 +0000 UTCWasn’t the boy found close to midnight? How long did he sit in the dark? Did we walk the trail in the dark? Was he covered in scratches?

2023-09-01 00:09:38 +0000 UTCI never thought the story was that bizarre, just super over active imagination. Likely inspired by some movie he had seen.
