Happy 2016

Hey kids!
Welcome to the beginning.
It's sure been a while hasn't it? I know I've neglected y'all something fierce, but not again. Hopefully I'll keep you more up to date with which way I'm dancing in future.
Last year was a total turnip. My mother contracted cancer and everything else crumbled around it. She's in the clear now, and life is a box of chocolates.
As long as it feels right, I'll be making a load more stuff soon.
Meanwhile, Patreon's a weird thing.
In 2014 I made it my full time thing, which exhausted me rotten. By the time my best friend got married i was completely spent in every way possible. So last year I kind of blew it off. I know, I know... rude. Without wishing to offend anyone (you kids are awsome) the spinning vortex of supposed expectations this site can generate aren't great.
It should be clear that while support is stellar, the moment it stops even *feeling* like support... well... it becomes immediately useless to me and can quietly kiss off. To say nothing of the TAX issue. I'm an international type, and paying taxes to a foreign country is an oddity no one (not even Patreon) can adequately explain to me. So the idea that I might be digging myself into a hole with every video gives me less incentive to make things for a site that causes me grief to begin with.

In summary:
You bros = Great.
Patreon = Leaky sack of grease and potato peels.

Maybe I should be bothered to bother management... Maybe...

Happy New Year!

Bad enough that you'd have something that upsetting happen to one of your nearest and dearest, without the additional pressure to make stuff. Still, I'm glad things are on the mend. Patreon is a curious place, and it feels more slanted towards regular content creators, but it may be worth sticking around.
