"The Lunar Eclipse" (BRAND New Tea Club Song)

While still a "work-in-progress", we are so pleased with how it's turning out and how quickly it's taking form that we decided to share it with YOU, our Patreon patrons ONLY! Our bassist Jamie Wolff wrote this song on his piano at home last month, and made a quick recording of it on his phone. I got a hold of it and immediately started to come up with a melody.
Around the same time, our guitarist/vocalist Pat McGowan sent me an unrelated set of lyrics and told me to write a melody to it. It occurred to me that I could probably insert these lyrics into the melody I had just written for Jamie's piano song. I told them that I was working on something, and they were excited to hear it.
At our last practice, which was 2/6/20, we debuted the song to the rest of the band. Jamie sat down at the piano and played, and I sang what I had written. Our drummer Dan Monda and our keyboardist Joe Dorsey had never heard even the heard the song, and it was the first time anyone in the band had heard my vocal part.
Immediately, Joe came up with a sweeping keyboard part, Pat jumped over to the bass guitar and started playing, and Monda created an awesome groove. I played a few chords on the acoustic guitar too. We tentatively are calling this song "The Lunar Eclipse". This video is of us playing The Lunar Eclipse at rehearsal, only minutes after we completed the first arrangement!
