E495: Barça sporting directors 2025-26 (Part I)
Added 2025-06-02 10:43:48 +0000 UTCToni, Rik and Sam put on their sporting director hats to discuss what they would do with the players currently in the Barcelona squad, those that helped Hansi Flick's side win LaLiga, the Copa del Rey and the Spanish Supercopa this season.
It starts hard (Ter, Tek & Peña?) and, at times, gets easier (Pedri, Lamine Yamal), but there are some big questions to answer.
What to do with Araújo and Christensen? Would you rather sell Gavi or Fermín? Is now the time to cash in on Raphinha?
Part II will drop on Tuesday as the pod discuss what business they would this summer in terms of incoming.

maybe hard on Gavi yeh. I think we had similar numbers for Fermín? Casadó a tricky one to price. Like I say, in England PL market means smaller clubs have €€€ to spend which isn't the case in Spain. Not sure who would pay that for Casdó? But don't disagree with the valuation... if that makes sense. Hard to sell anyone of value for sure. -- SM

2025-06-02 16:55:53 +0000 UTCGuys, I dont agree with your prices. Boeing realistic ist cool and all, but you went overboard. Casado, Fermín and Gavi are worth more. I would say 25 M, 40 M and 60 M respectively. What I think is less realistic, is who you can sell. I think almost nobody will want to go. Raphinha for example won't go. It will also be difficult to get rid of Ter Stegen. Life at Barca is too good ...
