Finished up all the pose sketches and thumbnails for my current commissions! This is quickly becoming my favorite part of the commission process ^^ It's so much fun to come up with ideas and let the clients pick from them!

Finally finished up the sketch page of SreyalS' Oc Coral! I've said it before, but I absolutely love their design, it's so satisfying to draw!

Hi again! Not as much as i'd like to show for today, but that's alright! I spent a lot of time doing guesswork on some clothing folds and things just weren't clicking! Tomorrow I'll see if I can do some studies on them.

Today was a good day ^^ Did a few studies of things I'll be painting later, and finally finished up the pose sketch!
It's hard to tell sometimes when something is "good enough". When to swallow back the urge to make another change and move on. I notice that I sometimes get caught up in the small tweaks that I often lose sight of the bigger picture.
It usually occurs when I don't have a solid goal planned. "what will good enough be?"

Here's an experimental commission for SreyalS! This one was very much an experiment because I originally wanted to create a very refined sketch style, but I quickly discovered that it was a bit awkward to refine a sketch again after you'd already sent a refined sketch for pose approval ^^" So I changed courses and decided to go for a simplified cleaned up style.

Here's some studies I did yesterday ^^ I timed myself for 5 minutes each (though I spent a minute or two longer on the more difficult ones) For different poses in an effort to pace myself better and improve my overall time spent sketching.
These felt really good to do and were a lot of fun! I'm definitely going to incorporate a timer into more exercises I do.
