Added 2018-05-29 21:06:45 +0000 UTCPlus, I'm quite glad that we've already removed the Google Adsense ads from the site, now that GDPR has brought user privacy to the forefront of people's minds. The idea of personally-targeted ads on TWDB always bothered me, and it really warms the cockles that you guys are willing to make that part of the funding of TWDB not be reliant on that sort of thing - especially since they weren't very good at the targeting anyway. I don't recall ever seeing an ad they served up that compelled me to click on it. I guess I was hoping that more typewriter-related businesses would be using that ad space, but that never seemed to materialize in any significant way.
Anyway, thanks again - the way things are going, we'll probably reach the monthly funding goal in a couple of months, and I think it's really worthwhile, if for no other reason than to know that user's privacy is safer when they use the TWDB. (:
