A new search experience!

Hello Patrons - It's release day! 

This feature was in the very first BrickHawk release (over 5 years ago!) - and looking back through time shows that it hasn't changed (at all) since!

So after a recent run of feedback about how it could be better, it was time for some improvements...

The original BrickHawk search - circa 2019...

The biggest issue with the original search was that it searched for sets across all retailers, which meant a lot of duplicates. And there was only 25 results. 

Take out the duplicates and you might get at best five sets to choose from. Take this search for "modular", for example:

Sweet Surprises, Sweet Surprises, Sweet Surprises, Winter Vacation, Winter Vacation!

It's pretty clear that this was begging to be improved!

The new BrickHawk search - fresh from the factory!

The latest (and well overdue!) release of BrickHawk search aims to solve both of the above issues, and add a few little extras too. First up, the results are now grouped by set, so you'll only ever see a set once in the results.

Not only that, if you are a Middle Hawk or up with BrickHawk Insights, you'll also see the set's image and be able to quickly spot the set you are looking for!

No longer are you limited to just one page of results either -  quickly skip through (up to) 10 pages of results:

There's been a lot of improvements to the search algorithm too - e.g. searching by theme will yield much better results:

And retired sets are pushed down the results as well - still there but out of the way of that new or recent set you want to find and setup a Hawk alert for!
